When I was like six, I was at my grandparents' apartment when a Planet of the Apes marathon came on. I watched all four of them. I remember each movie made less sense than the last, and the thing that stuck out the most to me was when Charleton Heston's friend is revealed to be lobotomized. I didn't know what a lobotomy was back then, but I still understood it meant his brain was messed up and he was no longer really there. Scared me a lot.
