Okay, well, I looked up how to beat him online, sue me. Had to go back and find an Apsaras and use Cadenza. If I'd fused Orpheus earlier, I'd have just been screwed. And even Cadenza was only useful because it healed, no one dodged attacks from its alleged evasion boost.

This jerk boss constantly casting Mazio, which injures everyone and knocks down Takeba, or just buffing its attack and nearly one-shotting anyone, forces Takeba and me to waste all of our time healing, leaving only Iori to use magic to attack, and he's the least equipped to make that work. Takeba constantly losing turns is making things a million times worse.

It's supposed to be based on which character you think is stronger, in terms of contest strength. For an indirect example, if you think Shantae would fare worse than John Marston against a neutral opponent in a contest match despite liking her more, you would rank John Marston ahead of Shantae.

I get that, I meant just based on our opinions or instincts of who's stronger, not based on like actual math that would take effort.

I intentionally name my alts things like Altagram and Andagram, but I never use them anyway. Although originally I had Anagram2, Anagram3, etc, but I got all of them banned in unrelated ways.

I'm sure Board 8 has already discussed it, but what's up with the hugely disappointing lack of Final Fantasy in this game? Konami and Capcom both gave us a family-size stew of nostalgic goodness, but Square is almost invisible. Is the company just that difficult to work with?

Everyone thinks Square is very stingy and that we're lucky to have even Cloud back. The total list of Square stuff in the game:
- Cloud
- One stage
- Two songs
- Two spirits, both of which are from Mario RPG
And Cloud's fighter spirit is a render from Smash, unlike everyone else, who use in-game or manual artwork from their games.

time limits in this are the worst. Like, it's already one of the hardest fights in the game, why does it need a timer on top of that? At one point I had her at like 10HP only for time to run out

the only reason I ended up beating it is because I got her off the side and jumped off her head accidentally, which stopped her from being able to reach the stage

I cheesed it by throwing her off and spiking her. It took like twenty tries to get it right.

Cloud may be an eco-terrorist, but he's no lawbreaker. (mnkboy907)
His hopes were as high as the Clouds, but he could not sever his link to the past (FL81)

Simply put: each game's supernatural elements work a little differently. The Metaverse as you know it doesn't really exist in Persona 3 or 4, and the way each cast summons and obtains their Personas is different. The Persona 3 cast is actually brute forcing things - they never had an awakening in the same way the Persona 5 cast did. They're cheating with Evokers.

Does the Metaverse just have changing attributes over time or something?

The lack of costumes in P3/P4 is good (and something you'll get used to, I imagine). The costumes worked in P5 due to the theme, but it wouldn't work for P3/P4, where the emphasis focuses much more on the fact that the fact that the party is made up of high schoolers who are in way over their heads.

I just realized I didn't respond to this. I still feel like they could have gotten investigator uniforms or something. I'm assuming the Metaverse works the same way in this game, which I admit is a big assumption.
