Board 8 > Anyone want to play Smash ultimate with the SHINEfriends ruleset this weekend

No one here really wanted to do this with brawl or Smash 4 but I figured I'd try again

My friends and I played melee and brawl like this every weekend for essentially a decade before we all moved apart from each other

But it's essentially a 3 stock 4 player match with all the default settings on everyone picks random for the first match and then from there the winner has to stay the same character while the losers pick random again

We liked it because it helps you become halfway decent with the entire roster and the challenge of trying to take someone out if they won with a character they were good with and being able to use items to help level the playing field

Bonus points if we can do it in the B8 Discord with voice chat

I totally understand those that wouldn't want to do it because it's not really about winning or losing it's just having fun with the game but to me it's the the way I've enjoyed smash the most

I like 5 stock(yes i am weird), hell me and my friends would do 99 stock battles back in the day.

But yeah 3 is fine too.

Only thing I don't like about that ruleset is winner stays the same, but its a neat idea.

I wish Smashdown was available online.

yeah in this case stocks are variable

I think maybe we did 5 in melee, but then dropped it to 3 or 4 in Brawl due to the slower speed of the game.

oh do other players settings affects my settings even in battle arenas? We were getting battlefield versions of stages even though I have it set to normal.
