You have to mean scum + survivor outnumbers town for this to even be a viable stance.

Like if the final four is Town, Town, Survivor, Scum, you do not just call the game for scum + survivor, that's insane. Town still has a totally fair chance to win, and even if survivor outs themselves and scum believes them, they can't instant hammer to win anyway. I mean they can force no lynch and kinda win. But Survivor has a totally valid win condition of voting the scum.

Even if it's Town, Survivor, Scum, in a final 3, and scum + survivor > town, it still makes zero sense to just determine that scum wins. The survivor can vote whoever they please.

Town town survivor scum the game is over. Survivor already has won. They win 100% in that scenario voting with scum. Thus they have to in order to play to win. They are not 100% to win otherwise. Thus, they must vote with scum and thus the game is automatically over at that point. Where do you play mafia at. This has always been this way.

Scum can't out themself in that scenario if they are playing to win, because then survivor can vote with town and still win while scum loses.

Let me ask you this: who would you write a survivor's win con?

OK maybe if it was literally mod confirmed survivor that's one thing. But if it's a normal scenario where scum doesn't know who the survivor is (or if there even is one) it seems pretty unfair to just call the game. It's not like it's a guarantee that survivor will out themselves or that scum wouldn't think it might be town faking them or something.

I personally wouldn't call the game. Hell even if mafia and town were equal and there was a survivor I wouldn't call the game because mafia doesn't control the vote yet.

That is not proper hosting and if you are going to do that, it should be stated to the game prior in the rules.

I disagree, survivor is not mafia. They dont magically become mafia just because mafia and town are equal. Survivor is the true definition of a wild card. If a survivor claimed survivor at an integral part of the game scum realistically can't force them to vote their way without threat of killing them at night and in the same breath they arent playing to win because they have to out themselves and if survivor betrays them they have lost the game.

Survivor is locked in to voting with scum or they are not playing to win.

I disagree, the survivor just needs to be alive at the end of the game to win. There is nothing saying which side they have to win with.

When I had called my boss he explained how he actually has a really good friend going through similar feelings. Made me feel better knowing that he actually gets it. Anyways he told me to come in close to 4hrs later than I was scheduled so we could get this dealt with as soon as HR is in.

I see MU has a lot of open setups. I feel that can cramp my style as some of my biggest wins have come from well time fake claims. How much does it effect you? Do you feel its easier or harder to digest?

Closed, I dont like open. It makes it too easy for town in my opinion.

I had a just under .14% "chance" to win the game by day 5 under optimal conditions, and it was almost impossible by the numbers for me to reach a day 6 with the game still going. That isn't a "too reliant on chance" role, it was a "Why the hell is this even in the game?" role.

Championship games are weird - people get really paranoid. There were a few people just saying "One of the active posters must be scum! They just have to be!" It happens a lot every year - people wanna take down the "big threats" to prove how good they are.

I was townread for most of that game until I fucked it up, then the other games I was town and I was universally townread.

Easily ranks as one of the worst people I have ever been in a Mafia game with. He combines extreme activity with sheer incompetency and ignores almost any response directed at him. He basically plays the game off in his own little world with little to no grasp on reality. Like 1/3 of the posts day 1 were from him and there wasn't anything of value in a single one of them.

But apparently that's so normal for him that most people were considering it totally null, which might've been even worse!

So hes basically like Corrik on steroids with a brain injury.

This. So many players were just too inactive. Arti was pretty much playing scum for most of the game (I appreciate he picked up towards the end but still), and don't get me started on FD spending 75% of his posts crying about not being able to post.

I can see why ending days early normally is bad but here it would've just dragged things out for nothing. And there's no doubt the length of this game took a toll on the players. Especially after D5 which sent everyone's heads spinning. A longer game would not have helped.

Scum just played the long game way better. Which makes sense considering it was mostly vets who are distinctly good at scum. And also that the most scans and claims came out, the better position scum got into.

Kind of a benefit for the scum team that their last two players ended up coming in fresh.

My biggest regret is not being around the only two times I was actually needed, VI messaged me asking to stay up on votals near an EoD, but I was at the park with my kids and didn't even see the message until he was already back and the MI thing I didnt see Corriks tag until the next morning when I woke up.

Considering I work for Gordon Food Service as a delivery driver, I can assure you there are close to no differences between the ingredients, kitchens, and menus between chains and local places. Both tend to serve good food and are perfectly acceptable places to eat. Calm down.

Sounds exactly like the bias I was talking about, chains suck because they are chains and local places are good because they are local. In my experience it's pretty much chains have a pretty good consistency of being good to great, where as local places have a chance to be amazing but generally fall between ok and great. Granted I am not some kind of food snob and I judge every meal at the time of consumption.

Tenchu was fucking amazing. I just watched a Nioh gameplay video and from what I watched it looks much more like a soulsborne game than it looked like a Tenchu game. The combat system seemed like it was almost identical to soulsborne, granted the last Tenchu game was like 10 years ago and I am sure had the series continued it would have seen gameplay updates. Nioh just didn't seem to be stealth mission orientated at all.
