That is the kind of thing online personalities like Laci Green and Liana Kerzner have been dealing with for a few years now. Kerzner is a liberal feminist youtuber who used to be a games writer, but got a lot of flak from those types because she didn't agree with Anita Sarkeesian regarding misogyny in gaming. It's likely she has been blacklisted from writing for gaming outlets because she took a neutral stance on Gamergate. Some CON chat logs from 2014 were leaked a while back. One of the people in the log was Zoe Quinn who made a point to talk about how much she hated Kerzner and would talk to editors in gaming media outlets. Kerzner hasn't had much of any writing work since then and has mostly turned to YouTube to put out her content regarding video games and feminism. --- |

The magistrate and property developer said he had called police as the men stormed his home before facing them with a hockey stick. Mr Stringer believes the confrontation may have been sparked by a dispute with a tenant over rent arrears, with both sides using the inflammatory term "n*****s* Speaking to the Daily Mail, Mr Stringer said: "I went outside and I kept shouting loudly at him to leave and that the police were on the way. "I used my hands and the stick to push him away from the house. He kept punching and kicking me. I was by that time bruised, bleeding and utterly exhausted." But he said the confrontation continued to escalate, claiming to see four other men nearby, calling out derogatory words. Mr Stringer said: "I had no strength left, I only had my voice and I tried to find the most shocking words to shout, thinking that if they came through that hedge we could be killed. There was nobody there to save us, we were alone. "Using their own words, I shouted 'and if you n*****s come into my garden I will f***ing hit you with this'. I merely flung their own words back at them. I am not racist." After the confrontation, the remaining intruder called police to report he had been attacked and racially abused. And when police arrived, they arrested Mr Stringer and his son on suspicion of racially aggravated assault. None of the men nearby were arrested. Mr Stringer, who has served as a magistrate for more than 20 years, is now standing down from his position to pursue private prosecution against the men. TLDR: Man uses a hockey stick to defend his home from (alleged) assailants armed with knives, a gun, and a crossbow and is arrested because he admits to using a racial slur while shouting at them to leave. The armed assailants are allowed to leave. --- |

Compare it to a video game with resistances and immunities. Like Shin Megami Tensei. Superman would reflect bullets, resist explosions, neutral to magic, and weak to kryptonite and red sun radiation. Magic doesn't effect Superman especially, he just doesn't resist it. It works the same on him as any normal guy. But he is weak to kryptonite because it harms him in an extreme way that it doesn't harm other people. --- |
