I would say that it's up to those people to make the trade, I can't speak to them, but I would say to them it's far from an unreasonable request.

Edit: and yes, sheer volume is an issue there. These red sox things are happening all the damn time while I see Seph in here much less regularly. So what you're doing is more harmful - though I suppose that does make it far easier for the people you want to stop engaging Seph to do so, since they have to resist the temptation much more rarely than you would.

That said, what I said originally still stands and there is no reason you can't just do this yourself anyway, without any guarantees from them. Maybe the reason you're "not so popular" is, in part, your selfish desire to put arguments above everything else, including the positive relationships with people you share the board with. Certainly that's the reason you are among my least favourite posters. It speaks volumes that you made that post without seeming to actually realize the connection - that you can say you're a "not so popular regular" while simultaneously demonstrating exactly what that is the case.

I love it when games seem to have taken the time and paid enough attention to every possible outcome and have new dialogue or reactions after stuff happens

Undertale does this well but I was invested in the Mass Effect characters so much that when ME3 did this I greatly enjoyed it.

I also like it when games take the time to clearly establish relationships between your allies rather than just with you. And not just the odd scene but really throughout the team. Hence why ME3 really jives with me, though that's just an example and I'm not exactly the most seasoned RPG player.

Just great attention to detail in general really. I love to play a game and discover new things whenever I replay it. Not big things necessarily, just little quirks you didn't see before. My two favourite games do this really well.

It's been explained to you why it's a problem, it's been explained to you why they don't see ignoring (manually or otherwise) as a solution. And whether you disagree is irrelevant - they don't see ignoring as a solution so what you think doesn't matter, because this is about their discomfort.

You aren't going to be convinced through logic, and you would relish engaging in a topic-long debate over it, I'm sure. So why not think of it more as a sacrifice you make for the sake of many people who have asked you over and over to stop?

It's just hard to get over that this game is probably going to have less content than FR/LG. No wild Pokemon battles, no Safari Zone, even simpler difficulty, probably no Sevii Islands, no connectivity to past games, sounds like possibly no connectivity to future games...
