pretty much. He can't hold a job, and doesn't bother to try. On the same note though, she got knocked up by another guy and tried to convince him it's his. He eventually pushed her to adopt the baby after it was born, and was able to confirm it wasn't his via paternity test.

My dad used his appendage to make them go down. >_<

I had a crazy old physics professor talk about doing that. We were learning siphons and why toilets are built like they are and have that part that clogs and he mentioned how he would shove his arm in there to break it because "it just washes right off".

Normal is what the game is supposed to be played on. Its the normal setting.

And yet most games are designed these days FAR too easy. Normal is meant to be just right in terms of challenge and no/little frustration. Sadly, the devs often make it way too simple and the game becomes a cakewalk either at the start or further into the game once your character/party becomes more powerful.

If you enjoy 1-shotting everything and having literally on challenge, that's cool, but that bores me to tears instead. Many games your character is meant to be up against the odds, so yeah, it should be tease to you as the player trying to get through it as well. Makes little sense otherwise when things are so easy.

Normal is EASY in most modern games. Games have gotten so much easier than they were in the past. Normal difficulty used to be alright, but it's not anymore. Hard is the new 'normal' difficulty.

What do you think are your collective hours spent playing videogames? How many skills do you think you've acquired, timing, reaction, hell even button layout memorization? You don't think that you're just better than someone who's been playing games for even 5 years?

I actually never played the Witcher... Is it really like that? I always hear ridiculous praise. Then again, the same is said for Last of Us for example, and that game is pretty much entirely the whole structured narrative movie like I mentioned in my original post... Essentially not ever focusing on gameplay or worthwhile difficulty. Besides the multiplayer of course, but then again, that isn't where all the praise comes from.

They're not actually bad just mediocre, the story and characters are just so damn good it completely overwhelms the mechanics.

Nobody plays the Witcher games for the gameplay, it's all the other stuff.

Also, sometimes I just want to sit back, and smack shit so hard the world shakes and just roll my way through a level while not giving a shit about my health.

Or I am playing for the story and the mechanics suck so I don't need to bother with them (cough cough Witcher).

Why do you play games? Honest question.

Considering RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic doesn't seem like it sold well (based on the fact that I had no idea it existed, and has less than 150 steam reviews)... what the hell are they supposed to do with the IP?
I genuinely don't know, other than leave it in the dust.

Oh yeah, and that video is awful, and I don't know who thought that intro was a good idea.

Pubs are pretty cool places though, I've always liked going to them when I have the chance.

Several of my coworkers started a 5th Edition group that meets on Wednesday nights, and they invited me to join, so ... been doing that for a month or so. My first time playing 5th Edition, though I have had the books for a good while (five years, IIRC). Going from Pathfinder to that feels downright bizarre, especially considering how skills play. Example: My ranger, because he has a criminal background (and the bonuses that grants), is basically a rogue who is a crack shot with a bow, and, at first glance, that feels like it should not be possible with a vanilla class.

Well, you can make the argument for that's what the skill points are for in Pathfinder, so you can customize.

But I really do prefer it that way, mostly because holy poop it's tough trying to teach new players Pathfinder or 3.5. 5e is just "select from this small list" over and over again, and you can explain more complicated things as they level up.
It's really smart now that I think about it.
