The internet should be a place where people can be given a voice that they otherwise wouldn't. You shouldn't have to be worried about being 'politically correct' or hurting people's sensitive feelings. If there's an important issue that needs to be brought to light, then the internet is the place to do it. It also gave these people a supportive community that they could use to better themselves, and improve their lives.

You should basically be able to declare yourself 'NEET' and the government should honor this designation. And by honor it I mean subsidize your income so that you can live the life you are choosing to. I'm not being sarcastic at all. It's 2018 - we've come far enough that forcing people to work (i.e. slavery) should be a thing of the past.

So who's paying for it? The guys working. If we need to increase the taxes we'll increase the taxes. I'm sure no one is going to be crying if a millionaire gets another $100 taken off his paycheck for the betterment of society.

Sure, you've also got:

- Plumbers
- Construction Workers
- Sewer workers
- And many more!

Also meet that criteria

Interviewed for an assistant manager position at Arby's.

Went well at first, then out of nowhere the dude started insulting my appearance. This was before I had and body modifications as well. He just started insulting my hair and my outfit and kept talking about how important cleanliness is in a restaurant, obviously implying I was dirty. To this day I have no idea what his problem was, almost feel like it was just some puke stain who wanted to feel high and mighty for a day. He was in his 40's too which is even more embarrassing.

Another time had an interview for a job selling body jewelry. Had the experience so the girl interviewing was super excited to meet me. I'll admit I was a little jittery because she was an ULTRA HOT scene girl but things went sour super quickly. At first she just winged it and asked me made up questions. Asked what my hobbies were, I told her a few things, but when I mentioned video games she got really angry out of nowhere and switched to the company's interview questions which were hard as fuck for some reason. Didn't get the job obviously, but later had another interview with a different manager that went far better. When I told the new manager about the video games thing, she was baffled since she said the exact same thing in her interview.

Damn, from interviewing at Arby's to rich, young and out of control. How did you do it Bugs?

Yeah it's was really cool for the first month or two, almost like a summer vacation I hadn't experienced in four years since I graduated high school.

Flash forward about eleven months and video games are getting stale, movies and anime are getting boring, tbh the only thing that really puts me in a better mood is getting up and doing chores around the house (ie. work).

Also I smoke a lot of weed I think that helps (?)

Definitely I look at my peers and old friends from high school graduating university, getting married, moving on with their careers and having children. And then I look at myself sitting in my moms basement playing video games all the time with no life experience at all besides working a couple shit jobs in the past.

The thing is, I want to change. I wish I could be like them but I don't know where to start or what to even do at this point. I feel like I'll be stuck in an endless game of catch up and turn up more miserable than before.

Looks like it is just literally a savings account. Which is kinda meaningless when interest payouts suck and most people with bank accounts just have checking.

I've been thinking of moving 10K into a money market account, actually.

No one who has any good amount of money saved up is just leaving it in a checking account.

I think it's good to have an easily accessible emergency fund in a bank account or something, but otherwise it's dumb to leave a lot of money laying around in a bank account. It should be invested to fight against inflation and to gain a profit. Yes, I'm aware most people don't do this, though.

And if you lose the money you invest? You're aware there's a risk component to this, right? You also think that people who don't even have enough money to build a proper emergency fund have tons of excess money that they can risk investing with?

Data from the Federal Reserve shows how much money Americans have in their savings accounts.

The averages are broken down by income, gender, and race.

Americans under 35 have about $1,580 saved, while those making $70,000 to $114,999 have about
$5,400 saved.

Let's put it in terms you will understand: does Norway have a problem with mass immigration with a large percent of the population who are coming over with the intention to abuse the welfare system?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immigration_to_the_United_States#Economic

A survey of leading economists shows a consensus behind the view that high-skilled immigration makes the average American better off.[98] A survey of the same economists also shows strong support behind the notion that low-skilled immigration makes the average American better off.[99] According to David Card, Christian Dustmann, and Ian Preston, "most existing studies of the economic impacts of immigration suggest these impacts are small, and on average benefit the native population".[100] In a survey of the existing literature, rn B Bodvarsson and Hendrik Van den Berg write, "a comparison of the evidence from all the studies ... makes it clear that, with very few exceptions, there is no strong statistical support for the view held by many members of the public, namely that immigration has an adverse effect on native-born workers in the destination country."[101]
