Well, whether or not he gets the death penalty doesn't really matter at this point. He's never going to be a factor again. He's either going to be dead soon, or he's going to be locked up for life. Whatever the case, he's not going to be able to kill innocent people again.
Charles Manson was in prison for decades and all he did was act like a clown during interviews. He wasn't able to hurt anyone anymore. Same as this guy is going to be if he avoid the death penalty. The important thing now is not what happens to him but how we can find ways to stop things like this from happening again! --- I don't hate people, people hate me. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Not always the case. The ones that take that long are the ones that appeal it constantly. OKC bomber was killed quick af Death penalty folks get unlimited appeals. This typically is most significant when the evidence against them amounts to things like DNA, fingerprints, etc. This isn't the case with this shooter. The evidence against him is insurmountable. DNA can wind up in all sorts of places and fingerprints aren't as reliable a means of identification that most people think they are. If there is even a miniscule chance the evidence is wrong death penalty is an extremely long procedure. Otherwise you basically get an Express lane to the injection bed. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!
