I spent years telling my family that our microwave was interfering with our Wi-Fi. Whenever I told them this, and backed myself up with articles and first-hand stories of IT support staff acknowledging that as a possible problem, they would look at me and dismiss me like I was some kind of crazy conspiracy theorist. This is also despite all the time I've spent teaching myself to improve our network quality and speed, and how they always come straight to me with any other Internet related problem.

Then a few months ago, my mum was reading the manual for the microwave to check something, and discovered a warning in there that said the microwave can interfere with Wi-Fi signals.

The part that annoys me most is that after they told me I was right all along, I didn't get any kind of apology.

There are no real good reasons, just bad ones made to sound good. GameFAQs will case to exist in a few years (at best) after it is fully absorbed by GameSpot. This was only one of the steps leading towards the full absorption. They're only doing it this slowly because it's better for the owners and their investors.
