It seriously bothers the heck out of me. So the other day I was telling them that X was a law and therefore I did not have to pay for it. They did not believe me, so therefore I provided clear proof from a government website where it stated that. Somehow they still have doubts about it and insist on checking it themselves.

Same goes for everything else. They always insist they know it all. I know my sources (what is fake and what isn't), I know how to Google, and I read a lot of information online, so there are a lot of things that I know about.

Even if I told my mom that I must do Y because my doctor recommended me, she would think of something heself which she thinks works better, or what she heard from a friend - but a doctor? noooo

I spent years telling my family that our microwave was interfering with our Wi-Fi. Whenever I told them this, and backed myself up with articles and first-hand stories of IT support staff acknowledging that as a possible problem, they would look at me and dismiss me like I was some kind of crazy conspiracy theorist. This is also despite all the time I've spent teaching myself to improve our network quality and speed, and how they always come straight to me with any other Internet related problem.

Then a few months ago, my mum was reading the manual for the microwave to check something, and discovered a warning in there that said the microwave can interfere with Wi-Fi signals.

The part that annoys me most is that after they told me I was right all along, I didn't get any kind of apology.

Yeah, my dad pretty much destroyed my mental health as a kid. Most of the stories are probably not fun to read but I do have some funny food stories.

My high school band sold cookie dough as a fundraiser, and it was actually p good stuff so my family always bought some. But my first year there was this one kind that they called Triple Chocolate that only I liked. Everyone else thought it was terrible and even I found it just ok.

The next year they apparently tried to be sneaky and sell the same dough under a different name--"double fudge." The guy who told us all about it came clean on it to us in the band room but my family refused to believe it. I kept telling them it was the triple chicolate nobody liked the year before with a different name. "No I don't think so." So whatever, I let them order it. More for me, I guess. Again they hated it, lol.
