The post above mines is a Rick and Morty copy and pasta. I'm not 100% sure about the specific post I quoted though lol.

I can understand why people like Tenet, but to say that all the criticisms against the movie was 100% intentional is just hilarious.

Tenet was a masterpiece. The one major flaw was casual viewers couldn't follow the intricacies of the plot. There have been individuals that have watched the movie 5 times over and still don't understand what's going on. They simply complain about the sound, I don't want to spoil anything but it has a very specific reason. It's okay to just say you didn't get it.

Please tell me you posted this ironically.

On a side note, Puss was great, but did anyone else feel like it was just more of the same?
Like "this is amazing, but I swear I've seen it (or the variation of the scene) before" type of deal.

You can say that about almost every movie made though. Like yeah we've seen this kind of stuff before, but it's how effective of a movie it's trying to be is what ultimately makes a movie experience good or bad.

The Prestige is one of the best films ever made.

That's definitely an opinion I can get behind. It's in my personal top 10 movies of all time. I had reserves about the sci fi element in the movie, but after more thoughts and repeated viewing it only helped elevate the movie than hurt it. It does feel out of the bloom, but it enhances the movie and the message it was trying to convey.

Christopher Nolan has way more Hits that go beyond and above than Misses, like Tenet. So I'll still be watching Oppenheimer because odds are the Historical Piece movie won't devolve into "Exposition the Movie" like Tenet was.

Yeah like I'm of the opinion that critics should be honest with their opinions, but to dock off points for going into a more serious route is just kinda petty? Like clearly the trailers already showed what kind of mood they were going for. It's still the first episode and there's a lot of ways for it to go downhills, so maybe some of these critics saw ahead? Most of the ones I read from only saw the first 2 episodes so we'll see.

Probably because in a lot of cases people will actively shame others for partaking in buying things from companies deemed unethical.

Honestly this, most of the ones who think it's a copout are ones who have a "houlier than thou" attitude that wants to shame others for not participating in the same boycott as them. When you come in shaming, you better as hell also practice what you preach or people won't listen to you. If a person doesn't want to join in the same boycott as you, then just leave them alone. I grew up Southern Baptist so I know all about using shame tactics to try to "convert" others.

Never ask agaib why marvel movies have the humor they do. Skimming the reviews for this and the biggest complaint is the tone and seriousness

The biggest complaint is that most people going in blind have no idea the background information. Majority of the exposition in the first episode is about the current situation, not how it came about. It's fair for them to say that, but to chop off points for it is kinda unsettling. Clearly this show is meant for viewers who have been keeping up with the MCU.

It's not an assumption, it's a calculation. Women tend to be a child's preferred parent, they tend to have a closer bond with them, more likely to take time off work to be with them, less likely to be the parent that ran out on them, etc.
The "blank slate" theory of human behavior that progressives often hold is weird

Let's not pretend there isn't also a generally terrible attitude about believing women or taking women seriously in a lot of places.

Wait what? I'm just stating a simple fact to why there's a double standards to the way most of the courts treats men and oppose to women. Many of these double standards are deeply rooted in traditional gender roles, which is something a lot of MRA (mens right activist) like to argue with me against. They want traditional gender roles and want to courts to treat them "equally" when I tell them that they essentially what their cake and eating it as well because what they're asking for is simply impossible without breaking down traditional roles first.

It's pretty obvious that TC brought up an old story because it's going to stir things up in CE. It was like pogo_rabid when they posted an old story about a guy refusing to give up his seat for a pregnant woman, except instead of an actual article regarding it all he posted was a picture of the title and a brief description to making the story in favor of the guys and everyone went through the topic like it was a real story. It wasn't until I actually try to get to the root of the article (literally +70posts in) and found out they deliberately lie about the story and it was just a reddit AITA situation where most people in the topic concurred the guy was the true asshole all along.

People always blame the parents in how they raise their kids, but you do know it's still very possible for a kid to grow up in a healthy, non-abusable, environment and still come out like a little piece of shit right? At some point, there has to be some level of personal responsibility involved in stuff like this, especially among teens. Yes their brains are still developing and don't have a whole lot of life experiences, but I guarantee you that most teens know what they're doing is wrong in extreme cases like this.

If there one thing that's very interesting about baby circumcision is that it's a subject that is very unique in that both Left and Right/Liberals and Conservatives/Democrats and Republicans ALL have very different opinions, on an individual level, regarding it. In fact, it seems to be a United States vs Other First world countries that seems to have the biggest divide in terms of acceptance of the practice or not. With that said, United States and parts of Australia are the only known first world countries I look up that actively practice baby circumcision. Rest of the first world countries don't participate in it.

I will say this as someone who was circumcised at birth, but my dad was rushed to make a decision on whether or not to get me circumcised the moment I was born. In fact, he didn't even know what it was, but the thing he did tell me was that the doctors or nurses only explained to him that it would make the penis cleaner and less susceptible thing things like penile cancer. So of course, especially when english isn't his first language nor was he comfortable with it, would just give the go for it. This, honestly, could explain how so many millenial boys were getting circumcised at a higher rate. I believe in consent and bodily autonomy so I will not be doing it to any of my boys when they're babies. If they want it, they can do it the moment they actually can think for themselves as fully grown adults.
