Ohhh this is the same studio behind those minions movies? Suddenly this news makes a lot more sense. I don't know what illuminati connections/power they have but their movies seem to be billion hitters without fail for some reason. So it was bound to happen.

Illumination Studios are masters at marketing and basically cracked the code to make bank. Every movie they released so far had a bigger marketing budget than their actual production budget. It's to a point where I consider Illumination Studios more of a Marketing studio than a Production one. But no matter what, you're always going to get a high ROI if you fund Illumination studios. I just honestly wish they made better films... granted I do consider Super Mario Bros to be their best film yet because at least you can tell a lot of love and charm was put into it.

Doing a good Martial Arts movie is hard to film is the main reason why. One thing you'll notice with a lot of Western Action movies is that they always tend to shake the camera, have characters fight in dark lighted environments, do a lot of cutaways editing, cgi reliant, etc. This is why movies like John Wick stand out from the crowd because not only do the action scenes look great but you can also follow along with it as well.

Close.
It got lame as shit when it set up a ten-minute minimum for monetization, or something like that.

Yeah, essentially youtube became the corporatized bullshit it is when monetization got introduced. Gone are the wild west days when people just made videos for fun, now it's chasing after algorithms to try to make a living which involves bullshit like clickbait titles and soyboy thumbnails.

Yeah this movie is going to make over a billion by this projection. I'll fully admit I was wrong. It looks like Nintendo is probably going to stick with Illumination for their future projects because if there's one thing Illumination studios is good at doing, it's marketing and making bank.

Mean spirited ones are the ones that want abortion to be banned so they can "punish" the women. They like to use the word "responsible" instead to hide away their true intentions, especially when they're against any social services to help mothers raise their children. The ones who are pro-life in good faith are the ones that actually care about the baby and will do what they can to make sure that baby gets raises in a healthy and good environment.

I mean yeah that's a grey line and I have almost no sympathy towards those that get turned on by that kind of stuff, but ultimately no one physically gets hurt. You can, however, make the argument that if the AI is using a real person's identity to fake sexual acts like this it becomes an issue.

I would say a joke right now, but it would 100% get me moderated and/or banned.

RIP Emmett Till. If you guys haven't done it yet, watch the movie "Till" it's really solid. It bombed at the BO, but it was an absolute type of story and movie to be told.

TopicThoughts on immigrants who don't want to fully assimilated into US culture?
Prestoff

The only main difference I can see from other countries and America, when it pertains specifically on culture, is the collectivist vs individual way of thinking. My white friends always thought it was weird when I graduated from college and they kept on saying "we did it!" when it was only me that graduated. With a collectivist way of thinking, everything you do has an impact on your community and family which includes both your successes as well as your failures. So when I graduated, it was a big deal because it means I, in a way, contributed to the family tree as a second generation Vietnamese/French American to graduate from college. There are also negatives to having a collectivist way of thinking, the biggest is the shaming culture where any failures you make is just you being selfish.

Otherwise, the US is not an monolithic country like say Japan, it's like a salad plate of different races and culture. So to say they're not fully being assimilated into US Culture really makes no sense. As long as they are law abiding citizens, who cares?

Yep same, pretty good flick. I also love the fact that something always goes wrong and they have to figure something out in a creative way to get out of situations. It's a shame it didn't do well at the BO at all.
