Religion is simply outdated, we don't really need it anymore. It was the answer to the unknown, but thanks to modern technology and science we have more practical answers to those "unknowns". There can be an argument made about Religion bringing in a community of people, but almost anything with similar interest can create a community of people. It's more of an excuse than an actual reason. The only reason I think religion can still be useful is the equivalent of a placebo effect, some people can't live without knowing there is an afterlife or do good things without knowing there is some higher being judging/ loving them, etc. Of course what we're seeing with some religious folks (mostly the religious Fundamentalist GOP) is doing bad things in the name of religion.

I will definitely say, there was the Family Guy dark times when it got REALLY REALLY REALLY preachy, and that was the most unfunny Family Guy has ever gotten. The newer Family Guy episodes (while still leaning left) definitely seems more "balanced" on who it makes fun of, though I do think a lot of the jokes aimed at the left are mostly making fun of the "woke" stuff.

TotK runs at a consistent 30fps and it's a solid game all around. If Starfield can get consistency with 30fps, I'll be okay with it. Not preferable, but still playable. If this was a multiplayer game than something like that was be inexcusable imo.

So what exactly are people boycotting from Reddit again?

On one hand, yeah it really does sound like a classic case of "having a cake and eating it" which is the sole reason I don't sympathize. But on the other hand, believe it or not, it's something that a lot of left/liberal leaning women want. I talk to plenty of them it was one of the reasons I was able to get dates quite often in my college years because of it. Women, on average, want Masculine traits in men like taking charge, providing and caring for them and their loved ones, etc. Want they don't want are the negatives of Masculinity that normally conform to typical gender roles. We do have a word for it, but many guys dislike it, toxic masculinity. I get shit for this every time I bring it up on a different forum, but there is a lot of truths to it.

I couldn't understand half of what he said at first but I think that might have been partially an audio mixing issue, I heard they redid some of it this week. I'm also just bad at understanding accents in general.

I had the same problem. Apparently the theaters were suppose to put the audio level to 7, which a lot of theaters didn't do. So I missed out on a lot of dialogue during the Mumbattan scenes.

But I agree he's pretty fucking cool.

That's actually a movie I didn't watch from the other 2 but that's because I had no interest in it. You're right though that marketing for it was non-existent. Treasure Planet (a film I also enjoyed) suffered something similiar as well from Disney.

Yeah I went into this movie blind and when I was looking at the run time and how the story hasn't really "concluded" and the big cinematic music started playing at the reveal of Prowler Miles and I was like "Oh hell no, they're not ending this on a cliffhanger"... and it did just that lol.

Lion Kings, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin all made over billions of dollars at the BO. So yea obviously. It's just unfortunate their latest flicks they been releasing have been mediocre like Lightyear, Strange World, and Little Mermaid. Oh yeah there's also Indiana Jones that is getting slammed by critics as well. Elemental, imo, should've been the acclaimed movie to get Pixar back into shape but it's getting esentially average ratings which probably means low performance at the BO.

It's similiar to Batman for DC, the only reason there are so many different unique takes on both of these IP's is that they're just really popular and well known. So they're more likely to get green lit. It's up to the exec heads to find not only people who really know and love the source material, but can also make a competent movie out of it as well. Spiderverse is just that.

Yeah I already said I have a bias for Mario. If I were to personally rate the Mario movie, I would give it a 8.5/10. If I were to rate it based on its own merits as a film though, I would agree with the critics of a 5/10.

I take care of my niece and nephews quite often, hence why that's the only reason I've seen every Illumination movie and almost all of them are great cute flicks to watch with family or friends that want something safe and fun. The issue with me is that I'm a bit of a cinephile, especially with animated movies, where I watched too many good movies aimed at kids/families to ever lie to myself that Illumination films are even close to their Caliber.

So like, with prank videos like this... what's the actual prank?

I'll be fully honest, JP is a real pain in the ass to actually fight. It honestly feels like I'm playing a NRS game fighting against good JP players. Which I guess is the point and maybe a sign for me to pick him up lol.

You're correct in that none of that means they make good movies. However, they also make good movies.

The only reason I think Mario is their best film because it's the only one I feel was made out of actual passion and love for the source material, it got the right spirit but lets not kid ourselves that's basically "references the movie". If you were to actually judge the movie on its own merits at being a competent flick, Despicable Me 1 is the only one I can consider standing out the best and it's an average movie.

For a LoZ movie, I can see Dreamworks or Sony Pictures (with the right team like they did with Puss in Boots The Last Wish and Spiderverse) being a better fit.

To be fair, sometimes I play games in a very compromising position because it feels comfortable sometimes. I think the difference is I don't stream myself in those positions lol.

Yeah I put it as the best Spiderman movie by far. It's honestly insane this movie was somehow better than the first. I'm really looking forward to the third film. I really want to know where the story is going.

I don't consider Illumination Studios an animationn studio, they're more of a marketing studio. For every movie they made, their marketing budget was always higher than their actual production budget. They know how to sell their movies and always make good ROI, but that doesn't mean they make good movies.

Fuck Illumination, get a more competent animation studio.

From what I played at my friends house, I like the map designs and how more challenging the game is in comparison to 3H. The best part about the newer Fire Emblem games is the amount of customization you can do with your troops. I also like that the new game really toned down on the dating sim aspect. But yeah I'm with you about the art style and some of the anime tropes in the story, not a fan of it. I still recommend for others to play it though, especially if they like challenging tactical games.

Oh fuck, I was scared it was going to get canned like the other stuff on HBO Max (or MAX now). Fucking hyped.
