The normal thing to do is live your life. Going out of your way to 'denounce' things is weird. Particularly when it's something everyone is against.

There's nothing wrong about making people aware on the items and things they consume. In fact, I think it's good to be aware where our items come from and who is making/creating them. The only time I put my foot down is when they attempt to try to change your mind by employing the "houlier than thou" attitude because you're not joining in the same boycott as them.

Notice TC was being very precise on it being a 70mm IMAX. There's only going to be 30 theaters that are going to even have that, so it's no surprise you're going to have to drive far for some of these locations. Luckily I live in LA so that won't be an issue on my end.

But if it has strong female characters and does well it's because George Soros and Hollywood "Cultural Marxists" are brainwashing the masses who will watch anything that is hyped.

Seriously, Princess Peach in the Mario movie was the very thing the "anti-sjw's" hated about "Strong Female Characters" and dismissed it because it did well at the BO and supposedly because being pro "Mario Movie" was going against the "Media".

I agree with pinky, but it's more of the "mary sue/gary stu" trope that I dislike than it simply being a gender thing. Characters like James Bond and Indiana Jones were also "self-insert power fantasy characters" that almost never get character growth, are perfect in almost everything they do, everyone seems to love them and the ones that don't are either unlikable characters or villains. I think Hollywood was trying to do the same with female characters and went overboard with it as well.

Aloc posted...

My god, even though those Isekai Harem shows get criticized left and right about the MC being a power fantasy gary stu's... are still really fucking popular. It's a genre that won't ever die lol.

The movie itself overall has a lot of good stuff in it. I wouldn't call it bad taken on its own. Biggest issue for me was the Deviant stuff being undercooked.

You know what? Yeah I think "undercooked" is a better way for me to explain my problems with the movie than a "mess". Everything about Eternals felt undercooked and most of that is because of its run-time and how much it has to cram into a short time. It has A LOT of good ideas, just not fully fleshed out. I think introducing the Eternals in Phase 4 is also a problem, considering how big of a earth shattering event that took place.

I'm of the opinion that Moon Knight absolutely didn't need to be a 6 episode series and could've been condensed into a 2 hour movie while Eternals absolutely needed to be a series with all of its exposition and characters. Eternals was a mess of a movie but at least I can say, cinematography wise it was the some of the best shot in most of the MCU movies. Definitely had some "indie movie" feel to it.

Kanye is an idiot, but what he did isn't comparable to the Kenshin author being a literal pedophile. One is a troll and the other is a literal pedophile.

Make no mistake, I'm not trying to defend the author's action especially as a Parent myself with a 4 year old daughter. It's one reason why I'm personally boycotting his work, but I can understand why people would still be able to enjoy a Creators work without actually relating it back to the Creator.

I can separate the art from the artist if the art they created has nothing to do with the allegations or the thing they're getting cancelled about. I can still listen to Kanye's old music because none of them are about celebrating hitler and going "deathcon 3" on all the jews. Unless Rurouni Kenshin promoted the idea of Pedophilia, people can still enjoy it while separating the author from the work. In many occasions, the work becomes bigger than the creator themselves.

I think I heard from behind the scenes that they also used the same technology for the CGI that they used for Avatar, which was why the CGI looked great.

But yeah the movie is a real mess when it comes to it's script and dialogue. It tried to mix in all kinds of stuff from the source material while not really meshing them well. The action scenes were fantastic though and it's a movie I'm hoping gets a sequel.

9.5/10 movie. It's pretty damn solid and I had a lot of fun watching it. Had me laughing a lot but there's also a lot of heart in it as well. The main character is also gay and it's not one of those "ambiguous gay relationships", it actually plays a fairly important role in the plot, but it's also not the main conflict that it's around. The animation is cell-shaded but pretty well animated, especially the action scenes. Chloe Grace Moretz was the whole life into the movie as Nimona, but the other characters like Ballister, The Director, Ambrosius, and Thoddeus were also a lot of fun as well. There's not really any complaint I have with the movie other than there's a feeling I can't give it a perfect rating. 100% reccomend ya'll to watch it when you get the chance.

Charley Horse is way worst from personal experience. Sometimes that shit can last for hours. At least with sleep paralysis, it isn't painful and is actually a fairly freaky but cool experience. I first experienced this when I was 12 and I thought I was being experimented on because I watched a horror movie about a character just waking up and not being able to feel their body while others were performing surgery on them (forgot the name of the movie, but it's fairly old). I freaked out at first but now anytime I get it I'm just in it for the ride.

At minimum, counting calories does work if you want to lose weight. Notice that it doesn't take other things into account like pre-existing health conditions that can make it difficult, but those are minimal at most. If you're looking for a better way to lose weight and look good while doing it, exercise and dieting will always be way more optimal than just counting calories.
