Does Tesla use any EO/IR sensors for perception or is just passive optical? If its the former, a mannequin is also not representative of how the car would "see" a child. It would be like using a printout of food to show that a blind dog won't eat the food in its bowl.

2 small tips:
-Settlements that give you equipment are usually only 1 or 2 sidequests away from improving your rating with that settlement, and often that will get you an upgraded version of that equipment right away with little effort. You can check a wiki for specifics, but if you want to stay spoiler free just keep that tip in mind
-One of the first grenades you get to make sprays enemy monsters with a red mist. If you shoot that spot with regular bullets, it will hurt the enemy. Normally, you need to use special bullets to injure them. One of those mist grenades and a regular shotgun is basically all you need to take on every enemy in the game.

It has horror elements on and off.

The way the game is generally structured and paced is that you're placed in an area with some kind of traversal challenge that makes it difficult to navigate and avoid enemies. There's a legit tension in the first couple of hours as you try to avoid the threats and it definitely has a horror vibe to it. But then the game will give you some new means of travel that makes the whole area trivial to navigate and the horror element melts away until you move to the next zone where some NEW traversal challenge puts you back on foot and navigating around the spooky monsters again.

However, once you're like 10 hours in, especially if you've been doing sidequests to unlock weapon upgrades, combat becomes trivial and you go from being afraid of the monsters to farming them for supplies. Then you reach endgame and you're given a quad rocket launcher and any semblance of horror is gone forever.

In general I'd say give it an hour or two. I ultimately walked away with a positive experience, but if you don't like the first couple of hours you won't like the rest.

None of the places that offer free University are just giving it to everybody. The argument that the only path forward for education in the US is making undergraduate free so that everybody can go not only ignores the reality that not everybody is qualified, but also conveniently ignores all the hoops that people in other countries that do have free tuition have to hop through.

I'll say what I've said before: if you're going to make University free, you should make it twice as hard so that having a degree still holds weight. Because the very next thing that would happen after University is made free is people would start complaining about biased graduation rates and standards across the board would be dragged down to address it, creating a situation where masters degrees just become the new bachelors and we're right back where we started.

Alternatively, since people constantly say that educating your populace is an investment, the set of degrees that are offered for free should rotate on a semi regular basis based on what careers are actually underrepresented in the country. That way everyone who gets their free degree can turn around and apply it in a place with high demand right away that benefits society. This would also include trade schools, meaning there may be years were the only free degrees offered are to blue collar trade schools. If you wanted to get a degree not in the list, then it's considered a selfish desire, a luxury, and you have to pay.

Well, at least you can say they know their audience.

That will depend on how things go in the midterms. This might be something you see every 2 to 4 years.

US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi's husband has been sentenced to five days in jail after pleading guilty to drink driving.

Paul Pelosi, 82, admitted driving under the influence of alcohol and causing injury after crashing his Porsche in Napa County, California, in May 2022.

The night he spent in jail after the crash on 28 May will count for two days. Two more days were taken off for good behaviour, and the final day will be served by doing eight hours of community service.

According to a police report, he crashed his black 2021 Porsche into another driver's Jeep near his home. Both vehicles were reportedly destroyed.

Pelosi offered responding officers at the scene a card showing that he is a member of a charity that supports California Highway Patrol officers, according to a police complaint.

Sensitive election system files obtained by attorneys working to overturn President Donald Trumps 2020 defeat were shared with election deniers, conspiracy theorists and right-wing commentators, according to records reviewed by The Washington Post.

A Georgia computer forensics firm hired by the attorneys placed the files on a server, where company records show they were downloaded dozens of times. Among the downloaders wereaccounts associated with a Texas meteorologist who has appeared on Sean Hannitys radio show; a podcaster who suggested political enemies should be executed; a former pro-surfer who pushed disproved theories that the 2020 election was manipulated; and a self-described former seduction and pickup coach who claims to also have been a hacker.

Plaintiffs in a long-running federal lawsuit over the security of Georgias voting systems obtained the new records from the company, Atlanta-based SullivanStrickler, under a subpoena to one of its executives. The records include contracts between the firm and the Trump-allied attorneys, notably Sidney Powell. The data files are described as copies of components from election systems in Coffee County, Ga., and Antrim County, Mich.

A series of data leaks and alleged breaches of local elections offices since 2020 has prompted criminal investigations and fueled concerns among some security experts that public disclosure of information collected from voting systems could be exploited by hackers and others people seeking to manipulate future elections.

Access to U.S. voting system software and other components is tightly regulated, and the government classifies those systems as critical infrastructure. The new batch of records shows for the first time how the files copied from election systemswere distributed to people in multiple states.

Marilyn Marks, executive director of the nonprofit Coalition for Good Governance, which is one of the plaintiffs in the Georgialawsuit, said the records appeared to show the files were handled recklessly. The implications go far beyond Coffee County or Georgia, Marks said.

In the records turned over to the Georgia plaintiffs, some pages,and portions of others, were blacked out. However, the text beneath some ofthe blacked-out blocks became visible when a Post reporter copied and pasted it into a separate file, showing downloads of files labeled Antrim.

Yep. The US was in a war in Afghanistan/Iraq a couple years ago. I just cant imagine it being seen as favorable if a group blew up Senators or Congressmen in car bombs to have tried to get us to withdraw from the war. It is Russia and im uneducated with that country maybe people have different rules for when it happens over there. And how they view such acts.

Russia has a long, storied history of violently overthrowing their own government. These aren't people angry at their senators and hoping to get them to pull out of a war. These are people who recognize that Putin has already effectively overthrown their government, rewritten their constitution, placed his cronies in seats of power, murders anyone who disagrees with him, and will be in power until the day he dies as he drags the entire country into third world pariah status.

EDIT: put a different way, this is exactly how I'd expect people to act if Trump actually cancelled the election, declared himself winner, but then went further and re-wrote the constitution to eliminate term limits, replaced everyone in the FBI with lackies, and started assassinating everyone at CNN who badmouthed him.

FYI supposedly a russian resistance group claimed credit for the attack (and may be responsible for some of the other "accidents" that have been happening lately), but obviously Russia media is trying to squash that story.

There is plenty of potential and they touch on good ideas to just... do nothing with them, or find the most boring take on it all. But then that's dragon ball itself. Nothing unique to Super.

This, for the most part. Giving Goku and Vegeta divergent paths in terms of abilities and goals rather than having them in a race to get to the next super saiyan level first is smart. Pitting them against enemies that can't be beat with raw strength is great. Finding excuses to give older characters like Roshi something to do rather than just being yet another cheerleader is fun. Having opponents ALSO get stronger through training in the background rather than the whole universe being static outside of the Z-fighters is something we haven't really seen since Dragonball.

Yea, it's a mess sometimes, but it also means we get a bunch of cool things that we would have never gotten in the original run.

Because at the end of the day this fanfiction tier writing isn't really any worse than dbz. It's not like we're talking about going from some brilliantly written masterpiece to some shippers fanfiction blog.

How exactly did things get worse? Because power levels are inconsistent? Because characters keep getting new power-ups? Because villains more powerful than anybody else just keep arbitrarily cropping up?
