I did the same a few years ago and found myself getting stomped by people who had access to way better cards than I did. The meta of the game may have changed since then, and I was also out of practice for CCGs. The actual game is good though. I liked it way back when but it seemed like there was too much of a meta as far as best deck constructions and pretty much how to play each round. Felt like the game was going on too long already and i didn't feel like going through researching and remembering the best way to play. --- I wash myself with a rag on stiiick ... Why play card games at all, that aren't Shandalar, if you're not going to play against people? ~.~ And Hearthstone is terrible for F2P. It stands pretty much on the top of the pile for the worst. That said there are a fair chunk of campaign dankery stuffs that you can do sort of F2P and as long as you don't intend to really play more than a couple of hours per month then you will be able to make it work <$10. Play Eternal if you want to do F2P against the CPU. Yeah it'd be a pretty awkward grind without doing a single win against another player per day for the free packs, but the substantially less abrasive monetization system would make getting to something that didn't make you cry much less of a hassle. --- "A shouted order to do something of dubious morality with an unpredictable outcome?
