And to bring up "modern classics," Primary Colors and Da Vinci Code are both legitimately poorly written and awful.

Again, he's a highly specialized QB with a skillset that's more or less been broken for the past couple years now that teams know how to gameplan around his offensive style and even disregarding that you need to build your offense around his talents to make it work, something you don't want to do for a one-year stop gap measure. Not to mention that this is freaking Miami and he's spoken positively of Castro in the past, aka the kiss of death for countless fans in that market.

You can absolutely make an argument about him being blacklisted, but Miami wanting to go with a more traditional QB with a great history with their head coach isn't an example of that.

Rule of thumb: take the cost of making the film and then double it. That's usually the break even point after taking into account advertising.

That being said, I would agree that "bombing" is the wrong term. A bomb to me is a film that doesn't even come close to reouping the investment, not for a film that falls a little short or was less profitable then expected.

I've never actually been in a fistfight outside of the ring before, but I was a decent semipro boxer for a few years about a decade ago. Never was good enough to remotely warrant attention, but at least had pretty good punching power and stamina so I'm fairly confident I can hit above my weight class and could beat up people significantly bigger than me in a random encounter.
