this is the wrong way of thinking, Israel is willing to accept Trans because they just flat out need the numbers. If anything anyone that's Jewish over 18 has to serve.

Actually, it's the opposite. As transgenders are a tiny percentage of the population, a nation with small universal service component that needs to be ready at any given moment to fight would the be most likely to not allow service for portions of the population that would be a detriment to their military. Whether that be in ancillary costs or unit cohesion, if active duty transgenders was at all an issue for the military, Israel would be the first to not allow it.

Whatever the EU had him do during those times is no longer canon, and I don't recall them mentioning what he did explicitly in the new canon about what he did in particular other than mediate with Qui-Gon Jinn and keep an eye on Luke. Sounds like they could easily pad something in there for the 18 year gap, even if just an adventure that took a week or two of that time. And then when episode 4 came about, it's not like he told Luke everything that he did.

No, one of my job's responsibilities involves hiring non-medical personnel for my hospital, and I oversee a good chunk of them as well. As such, I'm also a point of reference for good employees that move on to other opportunities, and it would be a disservice to them if I sullied my ability to give an honest and positive recommendation.
