Yeah it ends up being like $225 after bags are checked, but that's United and their lowest tier class who are booted off first if it's overbooked.

Southwest economy is almost $800 before taxes. Trying to figure out if it's worth the risk, lol.

The "Wanna get away" fare is $275 roundtrip, which is more affordable; but I have no idea if that means my ass gets booted or if Southwest even overbooks.

Don't fly United.

I keep hearing about how much better Southwest is, but United is a lot cheaper. I've flown both recently and it's about the same level of service. I haven't checked a bag with United, so I don't really know if it makes that much of a difference. We're talking the difference between a $200 round trip flight and a $600 roundtrip.

SGT_Conti posted...
If they overbook, you'll be first kicked off the flight.

Hey guys, looking at booking some flights and the Basic Economy vs. Economy prices are much, much cheaper. Looks like the only additional fee is $25 for a checked bag each way, but it's still cheaper than standard Economy. Is that really the big drawback? I don't care if I have assigned seating and I don't need a carry-on. I just don't want to essentially pay for a standby ticket on accident. I'm flying by myself so this seems like the right choice. Anyone a little more experienced with airline tickets and all of this semi-confusing terminology?

Imagine calling YouTube a viable source, lol. Fucking ridiculous.

Your Wikipedia article explicitly states it cannot be verified. You literally sourced unconfirmed info, lol. What a fail.

You're arguing that video evidence is not trustworthy?

I am arguing that not many different videos of anyone in antifa being violent exists. Not enough to brand a whole movement as violent. You derps literally just repost the same 5 videos, because no more exist. If antifa was truly completely violent, there would be hundreds of videos. I've been to many demonstrations where antifa was present and not one time was their violence.

You have got to be shitting me. You think there should be a permanent association between the name "Traveler" for a fucking horse (an animal used throughout human history for... Traveling) and a fucking Civil War horse?

Funny, I don't remember saying that

What reason is there for changing the name other than to pacify clowns who could not be reaching any harder for something to be offended about?

Other than spiting people who think it should be changed, is there a reason not to change it? I don't think it really matters what the horse is called

I don't know if that's the greatest argument if the same reasoning can be used to advocate the exact opposite. If it doesn't matter, why even waste the energy to come up with a new name and even a potential mascot revamp?

Let's not kid ourselves. The reason this is a problem is because a lot of parents either hate transgender people or are too inept to handle comprehending their existence well enough to actually talk about them and get pissy when a school runs the risk of making their kid less of an idiot than they are.

Maybe the parents don't trust the teachers or the schools system to properly distinguish between acceptance and promotion. I sure don't.

The reason they're either doing such a thing for children so young is suspect and reeks of indoctrination. Why not talk about how it's okay to be an apotemnophiliac? Doesn't fit the narrative.

Have you met a kindergarten teacher before? Most of them are not particularly intelligent people. It's why they teach kindergarten.

And many of them, I assume, are well meaning young people, oftentimes liberal women, indoctrinated into progressive gender ideology.

So I was talking to a patient in preop today before she rolled back for her c section and her husband was in the room with her. Introduced myself and went through what to expect and got a brief h&p. Then dad said he was super excited to see his baby girl and the nurse gave him a hairnet and his gown so he could watch. I asked him if he was ready because there would be a lot of blood and it may be a little different than what he's expecting...

He told me that he's okay with seeing blood, him and his wife (the patient) are both EMTs, and he said that he hunts too so he sees his fair share of blood. So I replied "well sir, I know you hunt but you can't have guns in the hospital". "EXCEPT THOSE 2 GUNS RIGHT THERE!!" *points to dads arms*.

Dad instantly gets excited. lololololol
