My first one was in 2004. I was in primary school year 4, she was in high school year 8. I was 10, she was 14. Broke up after a month.

My next and last one was in 2009. I was in High School in year 9, 16 Years old, She was the same age and grade as me. She kept chasing me for months before i gave in. We broke up 9 days later because of other conflicting interests like careers and school work was getting in the way. Also she wanted a serious relationship like Sex and such and i felt i wasn't ready. I remember one day in class she said to me she wanted to suck my toes. I was scared.

Though strangely, after we broke up. She became friends with my Brother and Sister on Facebook but not me (They never knew or even met her). Whenever i sent a friend request just to catch up to see how she's doing as friends. She wouldn't accept. :/

Been single ever since. I'm 24 now.

1 only lasted a couple months, and I'm 31. Nothing against dating, its just the women around my area are a bit nuts. Went out with a chick a couple times(wasn't dating her) and she already wanted me to get her pregnant. I wish I was making that up. I told her from the start that until my work circumstances change: No Kids.

She then sent me a lengthy message on pof about how much of a loser I am and how I will never be happy.

Four. Oh and I'm 25.

#1: Young teenage relationship, somehow lasted seven months. I broke up with her for being needy and immature.

#2: Height of hormonal uselessness, had a long distance one. She was very cute. We met up a few times, too shy to do anything physical, she broke up with me.

#3***: Best friend of three years, virtually around each other and dating already daily. We got slam drunk and boned and she wrote me out of her life because she hated herself for making it happen that way to me, and not in the way "she planned". Hurt the feels. Still does.

#3: Shy/timid video game nerd who was a chub and very lazy, rarely held down a job. Only lasted a few months before I broke it off.

#4: Current relationship for four years. Amazing work ethic, 4.0 GPA, loves all my hobbies, we have lived together this whole time. Wonderful woman, will probably wife.

There are a million reasons why. And no, please get it out of your head that there has to be something for everyone. With over 7 billion people on this planet, there are bound to be at least a handful who can't help themselves for any given situation. Love / relationships are no exception.

if Plenty of Fish has taught me anything, its that women....and men have too many options when it comes to dating. They can pick and choose who they want to date due to the vast quantity of people out there looking to mingle.

Its affected both online and offline dating.

no, it really isn't. Someone like myself gets lost in the shuffle. I could go out on a date with a woman and we both have a really great time, but if she is out there mingling with several other guys, my chance of seeing her again goes down to nearly zero.

Not to mention that from a female point of view(one of my friends), they get bombarded with messages to the point where they can get over a hundred messages in an hour, whereas a male, might get 1 a day or week, or month. I remember hanging out with her and every couple minutes her phone would go off with a message to her. It was ridiculous. It puts pressure on guys like me to be someone that we aren't by nature.

So no, more options in a buffet is good, more options in dating is bad.

What you're not understanding
Is that many of these messages she's getting are likely the equivalent to cat callers who randomly run up and hit on you or try to "do something nice!" For you. It is obviously super creepy.

Irl most guys who randomly hit on you are just creeps.
Online most messages she gets are probably creepy guys she doesn't want.
So really guys and girls have about the same options lol


Imagine if we had few options and had to settle for the guy that walked up to us at chick fil a and said something creepy like "damn your body tight can I get you lunch?"

I've developed strong attachments to people but, no matter how close we got, it never took that final step forward into any sort of romantic feelings, the kind of thing that would make me feel that I wanted to be in a relationship with that person. That's why the number is 0 - I've kept it there myself on purpose.

3, I think. I had one in high school that I didn't like (got with her to take my mind off the girl I truly liked, but didn't work), my last ex-girlfriend was an idiot and that only lasted like 6 months, my current girlfriend I've been with for 4.5 years who is amazing.

I guess we're stating our age, too. I'm 32, I had a lot of women interested in me in my 20s but I had terrible confidence and social anxiety so never acted upon it correctly, finally worked on myself in my late 20s and found my ex and current girlfriend.

I chose 7 as I could probably rationalize a few that were more like extended one night stands or whatever. It'd depress me I think to write down all the women I've wasted my life with

basically 1. she treated me like crap. that relationship or whatever it was was a dumpster fire. at least i got laid a lot though lol. the best thing about her was her looks.

only kissed one girl besides her. and that's all that happened with her. she was nice, but too immature. i feel like if we had met a few years further down the line it could have been a good thing. oh well.

I'm 35 and been with my wife for a dozen years, so hard to think back that far to the extent of how serious and such things were with girls I dated, probably 3 or 4. I dunno, I was pretty choosy and happy to be single if no girls were catching my interest.
