Yeah I still love Morrowind, but I was never sold on the aesthetic at the time but the world itself, and the freedom which are still great. But I can get very similar experiences from the newer releases with better visuals and crisper mechanics.

Nothing will ever compare to the unadulterated freedom Morrowind gave, but it's just not a game I can bring myself to replay anymore without significant mods.

Morrowind for me doesn't hold up, the game play while still awesome in a lot of places still feels really stilted because of the dice roll mechanics being awkward in an fps... and without updating the visuals via mods it looks like someone took a massive shit after eating too much cabbage.

Yeah, that excuse didn't fly then either.

Funny story, at an old work place of mine, a guy quit his job at the company leaving his missus working there, about a month later when he'd asked her to go with him to a football game, he designed a two fake bomb packages and put one in the car park and one in the warehouse entrance. Then called the owners of the company and told them a bomb was set to go off.

Not only did the company not shut down the place while the apparent threat was assessed, meaning he didn't get missus time off work, but he then got arrested, went to prison for five years and is now on a terrorist watchlist.

Huzzah!

*disclaimer the "bombs" were made out of bundled assortments of wires with some condiments in tupperware containers with paper clips, inside plastic shopping bags. We know this because he took a photo of it and sent it to his now ex gf. Good times man, good times.

I thought the cop in the video had a point, the woman was clearly trying to do her best to goad the guy, I still don't know if he was there for racist beliefs or what, but he did show an amazing amount of restraint. I can respect that, if that woman had wanted peaceful protest she could've got out of his face like countless others had and done her thing.

Goading people and being petty and vindictive isn't a positive quality and only serves to escalate situations, so yeah... I also found her saying that Heyer's blood was on his hands was disgusting too.

It's just lashing out and being piss poor about it. Sure you're still better than a Nazi or White supremacist, but you're still a shitty person.

His position from 2 years ago is very reasonable I think! Keep the confederate history if you want, but keep it out of public spaces. Museums seem like great places for that sort of things. Too bad he has no real thoughts and just parrots the ideas of whoever complimented him last.

Yeah I don't see how the trial went through if they clearly had a trend of biased jurors having to be dismissed, who hadn't heard of him because of the scandal? Like you're either gonna have people holding him up as some hero, or as the majority thinking he's a nob.

You'd have to import people in from China, and even then I don't see how it would be possible to judge the case impartially when there's no way the prosecution doesn't use that scandal as evidence of his character.
