They grasped for every single possible justification for slavery, with absolutely no valid proof or arguments. When one justification was shot down (extremely easily since it never has a basis in fact or logic), they just shit out another one and pretend that was their justification all along. Of course you can't recognize this technique since it's the same one that fuels GG, redpill, Trump supporters etc.

I have one argument for the draft that is based in basic history and economics. If it's as easily shot down as "blacks would starve without slavery" or "women making indie games ruined Zelda" then go ahead and do it, and then I will have no other reason to support a draft.

Further, I'm not advocating for the status quo in lieu of some doomsday hypothetical. My doomsday situation is current reality. Your argument implicitly argues that the military status quo is p chill and aight, which is completely expected given how """libertarian""" you have become.

i think it was alright. there were good points, but it didn't feel like it caught fire. it felt like two awkward actors with an awkward script.

It was an actual negotiation, not a choreographed dance of words like other GoT meetings. They were both struggling to convince the other person and they were both bad at it but kept trying. Kinda similar to King's Landing meetings with Tywin and Tyrion, but with protagonists instead.

This is why it's brilliant that the ending put the player in Ellie's perspective. She wasn't making a choice, so why would the player?

Yeah Euron feels a lot like Ramsay so far. Too villainous and over the top. But most importantly, he came totally out of nowhere. There's no build up at all to make you believe him.

His interaction with Cersei is definitely the best part so far, and gives him potential. But the rest of him feels forced.

The gameplay is incredible and beautiful. So simple yet so powerful. Not to mention the online mode which is still the best console online game.

The story is also amazing. Ending still holds up. But I guess games have had better stories since then so it didn't age as well. You definitely missed something if you didn't like the ending.

From what I've tried of Doomfist he feels amazing to play. I'm not sure about his glass cannon balance though. Seems both too weak (in health) and also too strong.

He's basically a Spy who is allowed to facestab... which is kinda awesome I guess.

Also a show that tries to pull off "gritty realism" needs to be more realistic about stuff like that too. Yeah most people are unsympathetic jerks, but not 100% of them. Any sufficiently large group (including motorcycle gangs and drug cartels) will have at least a few nice guys among them!

Would you rather boring and plain shots while they deliver the story? The cinematography is super efficient and dense with symbology. I thought it was obvious enough for anyone but maybe it's lost on some people.

Also like every good show has hateable characters. Audience pandering characters are boring.

Everyone is bad at communicating, but does that result in a net 10% of communication mistakes? Not really. The % is pretty low, especially since it's a two-way street so it's a squared relationship.

If you have a 50% chance of making a mistake, and I have a 50% chance of failing to recognize your mistake, that's only a 25% net chance of a communication mistake. If I train my ability to recognize mistakes, so I have a 20% chance of failing to recognize your mistake, then the net chance of mistake is only 10%.

So really, if you are good at recognizing other people's communication mistakes, you can very reliably assume a 1-10% chance of mistake in pretty much every interaction that you are a part of. Obviously it doesn't help conversations that you don't control, like mass media, but it's definitely a good place to start with your individual behavior.

And that's when talking with someone with a 50% chance of miscommunication, which is pretty extreme...
