Being against the Nazis doesn't automatically make them good guys. It is entirely possible - and is the case more often than not - for a war to be bad guys against even worse guys; and the US committed some pretty horrific acts against civilians in the course of that war so they cannot be considered good guys, only "not-nearly-as-bad guys". For that matter, the US didn't intervene because of an altruistic goal of stopping the evil Nazis; they did so only because the Nazis became a direct threat to them. Russia-Ukraine is the only conflict that comes to mind with a clear good guy (Ukraine). I'm sure there are others, but that's the only one to immediately come to mind. --- Do, or do not. I also reached out to Ayaneo to enquire about ordering a replacement battery, and the cost is actually a lot lower than I expected. About US$70 including shipping. So I guess one way or another, my Ayaneo will be getting revived (unless the reseller offer something really good, which is unlikely - realistic outcome might be at best they cover the cost of the new battery).
I was able to get set up on my gf's laptop in the meantime (basically same specs, but laptop rather than handheld) but yeah, gaming on a laptop or TV just doesn't feel the same now that I'm used to handheld. Also disposed of the old battery today. Not entirely sure the local rubbish dump knows how to handle these as they just threw it in a container with a whole bunch of other (mostly disposable) batteries. But oh well, their problem now. I have the same opinion. A quality rechargeable vape that you only need to buy pods and juice for saves a lot of money. The initial investment might get pricey, but you save more money in the long run.This. It's a huge difference. Pod vapes work out like 30% cheaper than disposables, and the upfront cost is comparable to a disposable anyway.
