Though he's on the 4th movie so who knows maybe there's truth to that. I read about two dozen IMDb reviews. These are fans. They're not paid for their opinions. They're not professional critics who talk about the use of camera angles and naming conventions. Maybe I should read a hundred fan reviews to be sure, but his absence was the biggest gripe by far. There are other things wrong with the film.
I didn't hate the film, but it is flawed and it has nothing on the original. |

I didn't get the hate that people had for the third film, so I decided to read a bunch of IMDb reviews. 90% of the complaints were about the mustached cop missing. The rest of the complaints were mostly about Eddie Murphy phoning it in. I would have thought that was a bigger issue. |

The Dub and translation changed things around, because, uh... they were not gonna touch the anime's reveal that the plot is actually about @Auto_Chrisbot I'm glad I didn't know that when I was watching the show or else I wouldn't have finished it. This show was definitely influential on Trigun. Ashura was Legato before there was a Legato and even Vash's hidden-pistol-in-his-mechanical--wrist (the eponymous third gun) makes an appearance as Raiden's hidden weapon. It's gonna be kind of awkward knowing this is where they got it from. Unless both shows are borrowing from a third property, that's too close for coincidence. I didn't know if the anime's more fascist themes were meant to be subversive or if they were being played straight. Reading that twist, I'm inclined to believe it was the former. Edit: Oh, shit. It's the same dude who adapted Fullmetal Alchemist into an anime in 2003. Apparently, he wrote the first three episodes while someone else wrote the last three. Interesting since FA has explicit anti-Nazi themes. Maybe he wasn't responsible for that part of the Angel Cop anime. |

There's a chance the parrot (parakeet?) from the cat food commercial is still alive. Some of those birds last for several decades. There was also an ad for a product called Citrus Miracle (approximately $40 in today's money) which promised it could clean everything from dirty dishes to paint used to vandalize a car. Something tells me there's a reason that product isn't for sale in the era of online reviews. TNT also advertised a "Super Musical Sunday" for those experiencing football fatigue. Then they said that a Super Musical beats any super *whistling noise*. I never caught that as a kid. As an adult, it's immediately obvious that Big Game syndrome was in full effect back in 1994. They couldn't say Superbowl, so they whistled instead. |

I have Godzilla vs Monster Zero, Godzilla's Revenge, and Terror of Mechagodzilla recorded on it in extended play mode. I just tested it on a VCR that I bought from Goodwill a few years ago and it still works. In a moment from now, I will be watching TNT bumpers and 90s commercials that I have not seen in over 25 years. A made-for-TV movie of the Cisco Kid, a local used car lot (that is still in business), and a commercial for the 1994 Winter Olympics will be in my near future. I regret that I don't have a means of making a digital copy of this tape. Obviously, I couldn't share Toho-owned movies over the internet, but I would like to upload some of the commercials for archival purposes or whatever. Those rarely get taken down. I own all three movies on DVD. (Plus they're on Max.) This is just the nostalgia of the 90s TV experience for me. |

Even then, the character was completely reimagined by Sir Walter Scott in the 1800s. I do appreciate though that the unmarked grave from where Robin Hood died in the traditional narrative is an actual grave site. |
