I'm not going to lie to you, I haven't played an FF since 13, except for the first part of the FF7 remake. And I didn't even finish 13.

Whenever I played FFT, I had a running joke with my friend about "Floatyball"s, so I think that.

I still can't get over Tonberries being inspired by Jason Voorhees, so I guess them.

I think the malboro squeaks out in the top spot for me.

I like ones that create unique & memorable play patterns, have original & creative visual design, are believable diagetically, and can fit appropriately in normal gameplay loops.

Malboro > Cactuar > Tonberry > Bomb > the rest

Chocobos are occasionally enemies but I don't think they're generally regarded as such overall

Leonhart is correct, I can't think of them being enemies except in FFT.

I wouldve gone with Ahriman if it were here. It was a boss in its first appearance but usually its just a monster

Ahriman are cool. They lose a few points in my mind (just like the slime/flan) for being very, very close to the most iconic dq monsters

You could put chocobos and moogles on here and I'd still vote Cactuar. Iconic design!

Behemoth

Oh wait, that's a summon. I was thinking 9f the FFX-2 Fiend who just wants to sell balloons

Behemoth is the first monster with a boss theme and when they appear it's serious business. Some of the others, while iconic, can be very annoying.

I would have voted Ahriman, as well. But of the remaining options, it's gotta be Marlborl. Such a neat fierce look to it.

I wasn't aware Carbuncle was ever an enemy (either it's been too long or I haven't played the relevant FF), but if that counts, I would vote that over Ahriman because of how cute it is!

Marlboro. I get a kicked of it being an anti-smoking ad

Voted Marlboro because you never truly forget Bad Breath causing a game over. For me it was most intimidating in FF8. I loved it whenever Odin or Gilgamesh would show up and one shot 'em for me

You Marlboro lovers are messed up.

Bomb or Marlboro. Cactuars are okay. The others don't feature that heavily in my FF playing experience.

I didn't think people cared about Ahriman! It's not used as often in advertising or crossover or whatever gimmicks, and no one really talks about it compared to tonberries and cactuars!

Yeah, I wouldn't have expected flying eyeball monster to be anyone's favorite

My favorite Ahriman fact is how the translator for FF7 couldnt figure out the name and thought the intended name was clearly the French word for Germany

I didnt think Ahriman was anything special until it got a MTG card in the FF set.

But I guess so did Iron Giant
