It really hit me this morning, while I was at my psychiatrist appointment. I've been in bed all day with minor fever, chills, and a hell of a lot of body aching.

Worth it but it still sucks. The shots last year did nothing to me.

Every time I get the covid shot I know I'll get sick for a day or two guaranteed. Day 1 I won't be able to run down the street despite feeling fine and then day 2 horrendous chills that I just bundle up so much day 3 I'm fine. Happened every time I got the vaccine back in 2020. So 4 years of the exact same thing happening.

Pfizer or Moderna same thing.

First time i got it, i just became incredibly tired 1-2 hours later, and felt a bit under the weather the day after.

Nothing as serious since... but the past 2 times i have suffered some imsomnia after getting jabbed tho.

I did the same on Monday. I felt like garbage on Tuesday, but managed a day of work. I'm still a little sore today, and had some throat irritation through most of the day, but I'm almost back to normal again.

I got three COVID shots over the years and each time I had the same reactions: the area around the injection felt warm and sore. And then for about 24-36 hours after I felt this kind of "fatigue".

Never experienced any chills or fever or sickness, just body aches when I was on my feet moving around. Only relief was when I was sitting down doing nothing. Lasted about two ish days and then I was back to normal.

Flu shot used to make me feel like I was about to get a cold for a day or two. Same from the first few covid shots. Last few I've had of each gave me zero effects other than a sore arm. Haven't had both in one day though.

I think it's become kind of like a yearly thing, like the flu shot, to help with any new variants.

I got three shots total back in 2021, 2022, and 2023. But haven't gotten any since.

It's basically rolled into the flu shot now; and is routine enough that pharmacies will place out signs advertising that the shot is free(with most healthcare).

First time getting chills from the COVID shot when i got it couple of weeks ago. I usually just get soreness, like when i got the flu shot a couple of days ago.

Also got chest pains from the COVID shot while i was trying to sleep on my side. Dunno what that was about.

Yeah this is why I usually don't get the flu shot. I have never reacted well to injections. The sickest I have ever been was from a TDAP shot.

But from what I hear of influenza, you 100% do not wanna get it, so I'm considering doing it anyway. I did back in '19, I believe. Only time I ever have.

Not sick per se, but symptoms due to your immune system reacting to it

I do know an old coworker who got an allergic reaction to the shot. It was the very first booster shot.

i need to take care of that in a few months. i was supposed to get a booster in july. i need to carry my lidocaine cream in case they decide to pull surprise injections or blood draw.

all i would need is 15-20 minutes to go through with it (just hate the TDAP shot because that one hurts worse than the others).

would do it sooner but i have a doctors appointment for my sleep apnea compliance visit next month and jury duty this month.

Vitiligo is permanent discoloration of the skin. These are hives/rashes I get literally every time the body aches go away. They itch, burn and sting like ant bites all over my body. They also tend to form in areas with hair.

I don't know the exact timeline, but I heard getting the vaccine when you've recently had Covid makes the vaccine hit a lot harder. Well I had Covid in 2021, and got the vaccine the same year (afterwards). And honestly, the vaccine hit me harder than Covid itself, though only for a day, compared to about two weeks for the actual disease.

Now I get the covid and flu vaccines at the same time, and other than my arm being a bit sore, I don't really notice any issues.

A lot of what makes you feel bad when you're sick isn't the thing that infected you but your body's reaction to it. The point of a vaccine is to get your body to react as if you've been infected by a particular disease even though you haven't so it will produce antibodies.
