There was very organized leftist stuff on campuses in the 60s and 70s which petered out after Vietnam. Young leftists today just follow internet personalities who base their whole identity on attacking other leftists and making money. Even before social media, college kids in the 90s and early 00s would just glom on to balkanized single issues.
