Just started the game the other day and my god those red flower jump things are pissing me off Pogo jumping in the first game wasn't that bad to get used to, but here the added difficulty of getting the angle right and the seemingly inconsistent jump height is just so frustrating... As others have mentioned, it's actually not that intuitive. Usually you'd rather wait til you get a style with a better pogo. There's one with a wide swipe down that's significantly better for pogo for all future intent. But if you want to go through with the diagonal pogo instead, bizarrely, they fucking programmed the jump so that the distance between you and the pogo object is what determines your bounce velocity and height. I've honestly not seen that in forever. It really feels like your current velocity + a small reset of momentum into a fixed momentum upon pogo is what should be happening like it is for most games with pogo. Instead it just determines the exit based on how long you had left on your down attack dash, essentially. I've tested this with my friends and one of them was doing it way more consistently than others. The only thing that was different really was just the closeness the body was to the flower when down slashing. Finished collecting all the Mask pieces, Spool bits, acquired the remaining Crests and found enough Memory Lockets to fully unlock them all, went back and beat the second round of ~~TROBBIO!!!!.~~ I also realised that I missed my chance to get the ~~cursed~~ ending so that's something I'll do on my next playthrough. I think I just misunderstood which part of the game I was supposed to get it during. I've missed a few Hunter entries so I'd be needing an extra playthrough eitherway. Still got a few extra fights dotted around the map and I also need to finish that Passage of ages quest but I heard that gives ~~an extra ending~~ so I want to beat the game before I go for that one. All I have to do now is fight the final boss.
