Neo Lands sound quality is near perfection: compressed enough for there to be a fine grittiness to its texture, but not too much to harsh the lighthearted mood. The melody that starts at 0:29 takes full advantage of it, with long elegant notes drawn out to savor the grit.

Speaking of compression, Brain Expanders makes it feel strangely cozy even inside the weird science lab atmosphere. While Spheres is the opposite, so unnaturally pristine that something must be wrong. The thought of an uncompressed Brain Expander is scary, the full force of that science could drive you mad.
