ZeroSignal posted... - MITB qualifier: Liv Morgan vs Stephanie Vaquer vs Ivy Nile With these two matches... Liv seems like a lock for the Women's match. Vaquer is wrestling at Worlds Collide earlier that day, so I doubt she pulls double duty. That leaves Liv to pin Ivy El Grande Americano is allegedly also wrestling at Worlds Collide earlier in the day. That just leaves CM Punk and AJ Styles; considering Rollins is in the MITB match, they might get Punk the win so he can go at it with Rollins at MITB. --- Formerly known as Raven 2 ... John Cena - 26 Kofi Kingston - 24 The Miz - 21 Randy Orton - 20 Akira Tozawa - 17 Charlotte Flair - 17 Rey Mysterio - 16 Seth Rollins - 15 Nikki Cross - 14 Sheamus - 12 Xavier Woods - 12 --- Formerly known as Raven 2 ... Raw recap in Tulsa, OK - CM Punk kicks off Monday Night Raw! Punk says summer is kicking off and he is hungry for gold. He tells Jey Uso that it's only business if he pursues the WHC, but also wouldn't mind picking the bones of John Cena either. Sami Zayn makes his way down and commends Punk for making his plans crystal clear on becoming world champion. Zayn also states that Punk must win tonight and only think about the task at hand and nothing else. He says Punk must win or else Seth Rollins has the best chance of securing Money in the Bank and making Raw a place nobody wants to see. Zayn concludes by promising Punk that they'll have a different conversation if Punk wins the briefcase and the world title. Punk looks forward to it and the two shake hands. - MITB qualifier: Stephanie Vaquer defeated Liv Morgan and Ivy Nile - Heyman meets AJ Styles backstage, wishing him a happy birthday. He also tells AJ about the burden of carrying the MITB briefcase, saying that AJ should focus on the IC title and let Rollins win tonight's qualifier. Styles lets Heyman know he doesn't take kindly to threats, and tells Heyman to send a message to Rollins: Everybody's got a plan until they get punched in the mouth. - Rusev says Sheamus looked disappointed last week. Rusev reminds us that he was disappointed when Sheamus let him down a decade ago during their time in the League of Nations. Rusev promises that since Sheamus stabbed him in the back so long ago, he'll respond by breaking Sheamus' back in return. - Sheamus commends the Alpha Academy, while telling . Afterwards, Cathy Kelley asks Sheamus about Rusev's comments. Sheamus says he acknowledges his and Rusev's history together, but also thinks Rusev's doing the wrong thing by picking on people half his size. Sheamus to Rusev: "I bully bullies" - Finn Balor and JD McDonagh defeated The War Raiders after a distraction from Roxanne Perez - Becky is mad about losing tag team titles and a chance at MITB, and yet Lyra claims that only Becky takes opportunities from people. Becky continues to take all the credit for Lyra's success, and says MITB is a lose/lose situation. If Lyra wins, Becky can't challenge her anymore and therefore Lyra will become irrelevant. If Becky wins, Lyra HAS to hold the hand in victory that will be holding her down. - Lyra Valkyria comes to the ring and immediately calls out Becky Lynch. Becky comes out and immediately gets cut off by Lyra on the mic. Lyra says that Becky changed her, making her become angrier and more determined than ever. Lyra promises to go 3-0 and wants Becky to fight her tonight; Becky simply says she doesn't fight in Tulsa and goes to leave before being attacked by Lyra from behind, sending out security to separate the two. - Jey Uso and Sami Zayn defeated Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker by DQ after Seth Rollins interfered. Rollins' effort to have Bronson tsunami Zayn through the announce table are prevented by CM Punk, who eventually causes Team Rollins to retreat - Liv Morgan confronts Finn Balor in the clubhouse saying she sees exactly what he's doing by letting Roxanne Perez hangout there. Balor credits Roxanne for getting the group back on track towards the tag titles and even says she could win MITB and the Women's World title for them. Liv responds by saying she doesn't trust Balor. Balor suggests having Roxanne in Raquel's corner, but Liv decides that Finn will babysit Roxanne while Liv herself goes out ringside. Dominik, despite being not even 5 feet away, is oblivious to their conversation, and is also wearing a Carlito shirt :( . Also of note, the TV is turned off in the clubhouse and the PS5 is gone, hinting Carlito took it with him - Kairi Sane defeated Raquel Rodriguez when Iyo Sky prevented Liv Morgan from getting involved. There were clearly chants of "We want Truth" and "What's Up?" during this. - Sami Zayn wants to know what Karrion Kross' obsession with him is. Kross responds that Zayn is lying to him, the crowd, and himself, and says he's a bad guy deep down just like the rest of us. - Gunther commends Jey Uso in the locker room for being selfless in a very selfish business, but also reminds Jey that said selflessness will cost him. With his efforts to assist Zayn and Punk, plus his tag team match at MITB, there's a high chance Jey won't be 100% next Monday, and Gunther promises him that the party will be over. Jey responds simply with "Three letters. One word. Tap." and walks away. - MITB qualifier: El Grande Americano defeated CM Punk and AJ Styles after assistance from Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. After the match, Rollins joins the fray and the three overpower Punk, Zayn, and Jey with curb stomps. To further add salt to the wound, Bronson Reed hits two Tsunamis on Jey Uso to end Raw. Also, there were more "We want Truth" chants here. Smackdown recap in Bakersfield - Rollins and crew kick off Smackdown tonight. Rollins introduces himself and promises he'll take everything tomorrow night, guaranteeing absolute power and total control over the industry. As the crowd chants for Roman, Seth says Roman can't hear them as Seth's group sent him to the Island of Irrelevancy. He reminds us that those who has stood in his group's way has been erased, to include Sami Zayn, CM Punk, and Roman Reigns. Seth will take us to the future of the industry, and nobody will stop him. This brings out Solo Sikoa with Jacob and JC in tow. Solo steps up to be the one willing to stop Rollins' group. He calls Bron Breakker the "Right Hand Man Jey Uso" and Bronson Reed the "Honorary Uce Sami Zayn". Solo tells Rollins that he's claiming the MITB tomorrow. Rollins feels that Solo is threatened by the fact that Bron is the future of this industry and that Bronson could squish him like a bug, and also states how Solo's family would rather stab him in the back. He calls Jacob Fatu "Solo's bitch", but also states he's slightly threatened by Fatu and not Solo. A staredown ensues between Fatu and Breakker before Rollins intervenes and signals for his group to leave. While Solo and his crew are staring down Rollins, Jimmy Uso attacks him from behind and his match is up next! - Jimmy Uso defeated JC Mateo after miscommunication between Mateo and Fatu led to an Uso roll up. Mateo gets angry and blames Fatu as he walks away. - Zelina tells Giulia backstage that she'll have to pry the US title from her lifeless body if she wants the belt so bad. Giulia commends Zelina for her confidence as Zelina walks away to prepare for her match. - Priest knows how Fatu feels when it comes to family shenanigans but also reminds him he's coming for the US title. Fatu has no problem sending him to the back of the line. - Zelina Vega defeated Piper Niven in a Bakersfield Brawl after an assist from Giulia allowed Zelina to powerbomb Niven through a (Slim Jim sponsored) table. Afterwards, Giulia attacked Zelina making her intentions clear. - Cody and Jimmy check on Jey after being attacked by Bronson Reed. Jey shrugs it off and says champions are meant to fight and that's what he's going to do tomorrow and Monday. - LA Knight talks to us. It's his third year in a row in Money in the Bank; he agrees with a fan that third time's the charm. He respects Andrade and Penta, but has no love for El Grande Americano and Solo Sikoa. He addresses Seth Rollins and his crew; he says Rollins is hot, but nothing is hotter than LA Knight in LA, and he promises to burn Rollins down if need be! Finally, he acknowledges that Aleister Black is upset that the qualifier match was stolen from him, but Knight did what he had to do, and now promises to hurt Black's feelings one more time! - LA Knight defeated Aleister Black by DQ after Seth Rollins interfered and curb stomped Knight. A second curb stomped is prevented by Aleister Black, who then eats a spear from Bron Breakker. Breakker then spears Knight for good measure. - King and Queen of the Ring kicks off after Money in the Bank. Four fatal four-ways will determine the semifinalists, and the winners will be crowned at Night of Champions. Like last year, the King and Queen will challenge the world champions of their respective brands at Summerslam. - Jade Cargill tells Byron Saxton her intentions of winning Queen of the Ring and the women's title. Charlotte appears and tells Jade to either choose between Bianca and Naomi, or have no friends at all, plus reminds Jade that there's only one queen in the WWE. Tiffany Stratton appears and says good luck to both. - Chad Gable tells Byron Saxton that he intends to win the AAA Mega Championship from Vikingo and he'll watch El Grande Americano win the briefcase. Penta and Andrade interrupt and make jokes about Gable, which eventually leads to a match tonight! - It's Tiffy Time! She agrees that every woman in the MITB is championship material, but the winner's world will be revolving around her. So they'll be trending for one night and that's about it. This brings out Rhea Ripley; Rhea may not know how it feels to win MITB, but she knows how it feels to be champion and she misses that feeling. Vaquer's out next, followed by Alexa Bliss, and it looks like the 6-man tag team match is coming up next! - Rhea Ripley, Stephanie Vaquer, and Alexa Bliss defeated Roxanne Perez, Giulia, and Naomi after Naomi walked out on the match and left Roxanne to the wolves. - JC Mateo thinks Jacob Fatu can't be trusted; Solo insists that Jacob is loyal to the family, but also says Jacob is all gas and no brains. As they walk away, we see that Jacob Fatu heard the entire conversation - Uncle Howdy interrupts the feed. He's been watching the tag team division, seeing the brotherhood, loyalty, and trust among them. They all forgot about The Wyatt Sicks, who will take what they are owed and refuse to be forgotten. - All 4 tag teams are watching this segment and acknowledge that the Wyatts mean business. Street Profits dismiss the thought of the Wyatt Sicks, saying they themselves are the real boogeymen in the WWE. Fraxiom want a shot at the Wyatts as the only undefeated tag team on Smackdown. MCMG also want a shot at the Wyatts. DIY thinks both are good ideas and watches everyone leave. Nick Aldis stands there watching all of this unfold. - Penta and Andrade defeated American Made after Vikingo prevents Chad Gable from interfering. Their celebration is cut short by Seth Rollins and friends. The numbers game prevails as Andrade and Penta get curb stomped. Andrade also gets speared and Penta eats a Tsunami. - Heyman cuts a promo afterwards, saying their group is the future. Everything Seth Rollins tells us is true and ends up happening. We can sit and boo all we want, but Rollins will become Mr. Money in the Bank tomorrow, and when the time is right, Seth Rollins will propel us into a vision of his own. Heyman is cut off out of nowhere by Cody Rhodes. Cody arrives and stares down all 4 men in the ring, before Jey Uso comes out. Seth eventually drops the mic and walks away. - What do we wanna talk about? MITB? The Intuit Dome, Jey Uso, John Cena, or Logan Paul? Cena called Cody desperate, despite Cena apologizing on X and throwing away 20 years worth of his legacy at Wrestlemania 41. This brings out Cena. As Cena poses with the title, Logan Paul lays out Jey Uso. An attempted Cross Rhodes is broken up by a Cena belt shot to the head, followed by an Attitude Adjustment. Cena grabs a mic and says to take a good look because no one is coming to save us. Our dream vision of the WWE will be ruined, as Cena will take the WWE title home and Logan will take the WHC to the top. Cena and Logan take out both men again with AAs and frog splashes. Fans chant "We want Truth!" and Cena responds "You can't handle the truth! You want our truth? It's staring you in the face and there's nothing that you or anyone who fights for you can do about it. The hypocrites chant for truth when they're all just pathetic liars." More chants for Truth come and Cena says "That's why you're losers." Raw recap in Phoenix, AZ - John Cena kicks off Raw! We teach Cena something every time they open our mouths, and this time, it's that truth is a lie! The fans went out of their way to save a sideshow comedy act whose biggest accomplishment was acting like Cena. Cena calls them spineless keyboard warriors and ignorant armchair activists, both which have achieved nothing. Cena doesn't want class clowns anymore, he wants competition, and this brings out CM Punk! CM Punk's not defending TKO or the billionaires, but he will defend the people. He knows Cena's mad because the people picked Punk over him. Punk's not here to kiss his final boss's ass like Cena has. Punk's out to prove that Cena's only a spoke in the wheel, and it starts with taking the WWE title from him. When Punk wins the title, Cena will spend his remaining tour dates apologizing to everyone for who he became. Punk didn't want to win the title because it turned him into a monster 13 years ago, but now he feels that he must become a monster to defeat the monster. CM Punk wants to face Cena tonight for the title; Cena's down for the match, but not tonight. With a match of this caliber, Cena wants Punk to follow him to Saudi Arabia! Punk nods, only to get cut off by Rollins, who stares down both men with the briefcase. - AJ Styles defeated Chad Gable (dammit) - Roxanne Perez suggests her and Liv work together so that one of them advances in the tournament. Liv shoots her down and says to stay out of her way. - Queen of the Ring quarterfinal: Roxanne Perez defeated Kairi Sane, Liv Morgan, and Rhea Ripley - Becky Lynch comes out and immediately calls out the crowd for not saying "You deserve it" but also knows she deserves the IC title! She runs down her accomplishments and says the IC title is now the best title in the business because she holds it. Becky calls Valkyria a sore loser for nearly separating her shoulder while raising her hand and then attacking her. Becky calls out Lyra, but as Lyra makes her way to the ring, Bayley appears from behind and ambushes Becky! Becky runs through the crowd to end the segment. - R-Truth surprises us all! He tells us that our voices matter, and that he's back because of us and is back for all of us and himself! But he also says R-Truth can be funny and forgiving... which he no longer is. He's also no longer a gimmick or a sideshow act! Truth pulls out a pair of scissors and cuts his dreads off, stating that he is Ron Killings, and he is the truth and nothing but the truth, and it's time to put some respect on his name! - Finn and JD wish Dom luck in King of the Ring and congratulate Roxanne on her win. Liv appears and is not happy with Roxanne one bit - King of the Ring quarterfinal: Sami Zayn defeated Dominik Mysterio, Bron Breakker, and Penta. LA Knight made a surprise appearance and stopped Breakker from potentially getting the win - New Day tells Cathy Kelley that they'll defend the titles when a clear #1 contender is present, because they won't defend against just anybody - Nikki Bella is here! It's good to be home as Nikki thanks the WWE Universe and the Bella Army. She promotes WWE Evolution coming in July, commending the women today for what they do. An angry Liv Morgan comes out and is pissed that Nikki didn't mention her. Liv runs down her accomplishments and roasts Nikki for not having a title or a man. Nikki wonders if Dominik is Liv's bf or Roxanne's. As Nikki leaves, Liv says she'll always be the best, while Nikki will only be a reality show diva. Nikki attempts to go back in the ring and gets dropped with Oblivion! - Main Event: Gunther defeated Jey Uso by submission to win the World Heavyweight Championship for the second time in his career 19 appearances left before John Cena retires! (Guess I miscounted!) King of the Ring - Sheamus/Rusev/Reed/??? winner vs Rhodes/Priest/Andrade/Nakamura winner - Sami Zayn vs Orton/Knight/Black/Hayes winner Queen of the Ring - Roxanne Perez vs Jade/Michin/Niven/Nia winner - Asuka/Nile/Raquel/Vaquer winner vs Chelsea/Charlotte/Alexa/Candace winner Night of Champions - John Cena vs CM Punk for the WWE Championship - King of the Ring finals - Queen of the Ring finals Summerslam - King of the Ring vs John Cena OR Gunther - Queen of the Ring vs Tiffany Stratton OR Iyo Sky --- Formerly known as Raven 2 ... Afterwards, Punk, Zayn, and Jey get curb stomped. Jey also takes 2 Tsunamis here. - Punk and Sami completely no show Saturday's event, knowing damn well Seth Rollins would have Breakker and Reed with him. If R-Truth (Ron Killings I guess) gets another chance at Cena on a PPV that's on Netflix I may sub to watch it I'm conflicted on whether I'd rather him try to make a main event run still using his completely silly gimmick or whether it's exciting for him to be able to try something else for a while, but it's exciting either way. --- No problem! Thoughts on who the mystery opponent may be for King of the Ring next week on Raw... Sheamus vs Rusev vs Bronson Reed vs ????? 1) Jey Uso - Thought about it late last night, it would be part of Jey's shot at redemption. Unless he's legitimately injured and taking time off or whatever. 2) Ron Killings - The crowd would be fully behind the idea of Ron challenging Gunther. 3) El Grande Americano - Because I want to see the tears of the IWC 4) Logan Paul - Because WWE hates us. I got a feeling this mystery opponent is either winning the whole tournament or one-and-done. --- Formerly known as Raven 2 ... Copied to Clipboard!

GTM posted... So this is almost hitting 500 in half a year. Most of the people who used to post here regularly prefer discussion on the B8 Discord. GTM posted... So is WWE popular again, even with all the Saudi stuff? Yes. Not Attitude Era or Ruthless Aggression numbers, but there's still a dedicated audience. The Saudi stuff will forever be sour to many, but it hasn't stopped WWE one bit. The international events outside Saudi Arabia are great. GTM posted... Are wrestlers going to Saudi Arabia who said they wouldnt? Sweet Saudi Money gets everyone eventually. Cena turned down the original Crown Jewel in 2018, only to go there 5 years later to put Solo Sikoa over. Punk's going there this month. The Royal Rumble is in Saudi Arabia next year. They haven't hesitated to open their checkbooks for Goldberg, Tyson Fury, Cain Velasquez, Logan Paul, Jake Paul, and others to appear in Saudi Arabian events. That being said, a vast majority of the ppvs in Saudi Arabia have not been good, especially the first two Crown Jewel events. --- Formerly known as Raven 2 ... Copied to Clipboard!

Not great, not bad, just fine. Women's MITB went as I expected it to. Men's MITB was overbooked to hell and back, but kind of in a good way (and holy FUCK please push Gable). Dominik vs Octagon was meh, but a decent way to show off AAA for those who didn't watch Worlds Collide. Becky vs Lyra was good.
