Damn they wasted no time with this Netflix deal stuff. I went to look up the next episode of Raw on Peacock and Raw just isn't on Peacock anymore. Smackdown still is (at least at the time of this post) and seemingly a bunch of other WWE stuff is but not the flagship show. Uuuugh

I'm bummed about the whole Netflix decision because I live apart from my family and Netflix decided password sharing was no longer a thing (family, specifically my daughter, uses it). I'm still gonna try and see if I can watch it through other means, though then again, I'm not sure if I have it in me to watch 6 hours of WWE every week in today's age.

Cole and McAfee are the announce team for Raw, and they're getting SD's ring announcer. Smackdown is likely doing a 3-man desk of Graves, Barrett, and Tessatore, plus Lilian Garcia is gonna be Smackdown's ring announcer.

Crown Jewel won the award in 2018, and hardly anything Saudi Arabia-related has been nominated since. The nominations are most likely determined by Wrestlecrap creator RD Reynolds and no one else.

The friendship bracelet shouldn't have been nominated. Jimmy/Jey was a slog, but not induction worthy like Goldberg vs Lesnar Part 1. RD's reason for nominating the Wyatt Sicks was for them choosing Chad Gable as the first victim who came through the feud unscathed. While I don't think they've been bad, I do think the stable's hit a wall with this feud with The Final Testament and Miz.

Crown Jewel Championships still deserves to be nominated at least, it's literally belts made for the Saudis and zero other purpose.

Right but as a casual fan who doesn't keep up with everything, it sucks to have that sort of thing ruined for me when I'm purely on Twitter for Magic basketball. I saw that it was going to happen several hours before it did.

For me in particular the issue is that a Magic fan became a prominent figure in the wrestling media community over the last year or so. So his tweets for clicks shit has completely fucked my timeline, it's impossible to not know what is happening unless I block him or don't use Twitter

Speaking of Saudi, apparently there's an increasing chance of a future Royal Rumble event (the actual annual event this time) being held in Saudi Arabia.

WWE are absolutely extending their partnership with them by 2028 and Wrestlemania will be held there within the next decade.

Taker's stuff is not AS well known I think. He didn't speak at the gorram RNC, at the very least.

Taker even had Trump on his podcast, that's gotta hold some weight, but is still respected and loved by wrestling fans.

The difference is, Taker doesn't go out of his way to lie or say outrageous things, has never said anything racist (not that I know of at least), and as said above me, didn't go to an RNC or multiple Trump rallies. Hogan definitely did.

Hogan peddling his presumably shitty beer probably didn't help either. And someone on Twitter REALLY had the audacity to say Hogan's put more people over than Austin.

Could just be simply fans still have nostalgia for Taker in spite of all that stuff and hes been featured prominently at Manias and stuff (even had a big role in the main event last year!) even after he retired where as they dont feel much for Hulkster because he hasnt really done anything in the company for the last two decades.

taker and kane are both well loved and their political views aren't gonna be an issue. hogan's political views also aren't the issue, it's the everything else he's said and done that people have hate him for.

Taker and Kane's political affiliations should surprise nobody. Taker is from arguably the reddest state in the country and Kane's a Republican mayor.

Hogan has spent decades making himself the center of attention and never bothered putting anyone over clean* until his second WWE run in 2002.
