I think I have a high bar for what I consider a strong democracy but encouraging a Putsch against one of the highest bodies of government and claiming the election was rigged when you lose it is tinpot dictatorship behaviour.

Like, this is the shit you see happening in corrupt, incredibly unstable countries and think, damn, it's going to take decades of democratisation processes from the ground up to build a functional democracy here. It's utterly embarrassing that happened in the most powerful country on earth.

A riot situation occurred when Trump threw a tantrum cause he didn't win. I don't think Trump schemed that-- now don't get me wrong he encouraged it and was happy to see it and that was not good but it wasn't some attempted master stroke coup d'etat that we narrowly avoided or anything.

Like rallying a band of rabble to disrupt is not good but Trump would need a pretty thorough systemic poisoning to actually do anything in a way that's anything more than embarrassing for the US.

It reflects poorly on Trump because someone with an extremely narcissistic mindset like that shouldn't be in office but it doesn't make me concerned about his ability and/or drive to orchestrate something more drastic.

Just my thoughts though. I do think Trump is gonna win and a lot of bad stuff is gonna be put on fears of this as we absolve our politicians of blame for the pain we have been kicking down the road, but ultimately it's just gonna be a lot of hot air and once we get our economy crashing and wars out of the way it'll be well on course to business as usual by 2028.

Jack smith literally just released all the evidence regarding Jan 6th. Trump quite clearly was scheming and just wasnt just in the moment to take advantage of.

I'm like 99% sure Trump's winning, and I will gladly return to the thread to be thoroughly mocked if I'm wrong. I'd give it like 75% the evil lizardmen control the election and make Trump win. I think if Kamala wins by too much organically they can't rig the election and just have to take the L. That's why I'm somewhat passionately (for me) advocating for Kamala Harris even though I suspect the rig is in.

Trump with like 270-280 or Kamala with like 330+ is my official predicition

US elections are always close, its a feature not a bug and it can absolutely go either way. Unfortunately though as of this writing I think Trump just clinches it because of Gaza. He retakes Arizona and Georgia, holds North Carolina, loses Pennsylvania and Wisconsin but wins Michigan. Thats the path imo. Still it is a toss-up and in this scenario Georgia can absolutely save the day if it goes for Harris.

Edit: To be clear Im like, 56% expecting Trump if were putting numbers on it.

I'm expecting a Kamala landslide, or at the very least an Obama vs Romney situation.

I don't think Michigan is particularly close.

The Detroit early vote is pretty nuts!

My guy we're talking about polls that got caught being directly in contact with the Trump campaign, one that IS the Trump Campaign and release polls at his request, and one that goes on rants about how the Covid vaccine killed 100s of thousands of Americans.

Regardless of how the election turns out, those are junk pollsters.

The way to figure out whether they're junk pollsters is to compare the actual results with their predictions both past and present. Otherwise, it's all just posturing to give yourself an unfalsifiable position. Heads you win; tails they lose.

(It also means that all the polls you agree with are just as easy to smear by claiming they're motivated by a pro-Kamala agenda.)

Can vouch that I thought it was just "Wild conspiracy theory" like aliens or Bigfoot. Something that was never meant to be serious, as opposed to something being antisemitic.

Icke is worth condemning but I think most people refer to lizardmen in the same facetious tone as "wearing my tinfoil hat".
