As a Canadian, how big a thing was YTV?

I'm getting some nostalgia cravings for Zack Files, Strange Days at Black Hole High, and Big Wolf on Campus. We had those on different channels in America, but I know they were Canadian pre-Degrassi things

YTV was essentially Nick/Cartoon network, so yeah, the biggest for tweens

I watched zach files and big wolf on campus on ytv, blake holsey high was on global for me

YTV was huuuuuge but I don't know any of those shows, I assume that's all old people stuff

except Big Wolf on Campus I had that

but YTV I mostly think like Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Beyblade, Hamtaro, Medabots, Uh-Oh, Radio Active, Reboot, Beasties, Inuyasha, DBZ...

I think Teletoon had Cardcaptors, Fairly Odd Parents, Clone High, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Simpsons, South Park, Ben10, Angela Anaconda, Ren & Stimpy, What About Mimi, Sheep and the Big City...

FoxBox had Ultimate Muscle, Fighting Foodons, Kirby Right Back At Ya, Shaman King, F-Zero...

then some things on TVO & Family...

Speaking of Fairly Oddparents, might be just me but I feel like it didnt age very well. Danny Phantom was great though and shouldve lasted longer.

After one episode:

Asim feels like a total dud. Russell is probably going to be too obnoxious to like. Tim seems fine, but like a lesser version of Bob. Liza is just kinda there. Alice will probably be the highlight of the season.

I underestimated Asim and overestimated Alice. After a decently strong start, Alice just really declined over the season. She was really just kinda phoning it in on most of the stuff, I thought (and this was reflected in her points total). Meanwhile Asim developed as a good character over the show, and he put in a fair amount of effort (but was still just bad at stuff, lol).

Russell wasn't as obnoxious as I expected, but I noticed several times on his face how much it looked like he didn't really want to be there (basically any time Greg didn't give him the praise he thought he deserved). Still kinda irked me. Tim is fine. Still kinda just a lesser version of Bob. Not really much to say about him.

Liza... was still just kinda there. Like, she's just a typical, generally competent, middle age lady. Pleasant enough, but not a big enough comedic personality for a show like this imo. The cake thing at the end was definitely a highlight for her, though.

It's very hard to rank them. 1 point to Liza. Alice and Russell in joint second to last with 3 points. Then no one in first place, but Asim and Tim in joint second with 4 points each.

Unless they get worse, I just saw that with the hammock one. You could tell Iain really felt like an asshole after watching it back, and I was surprised that Lou was apologizing too. She was the more sensible of the two.

Taskmaster NZ S2 is one of my fav series but I really don't like Jeremy as Taskmaster. He always punishes people for being funny

and I don't mean like having a joke at his expense but like just for being inventive or creative, he's a real no fun allowed guy

It's gotta be a tricky line to toe. Because you want people to actually do the tasks instead of everyone spiraling out for loopholes, but it's also a comedy show and it would be boring if no one was ever allowed to do loopholes.

Yeah he's a bit miscast.

Thankfully Paul is great. But all the assistants are great IMHO.

Jeremy just takes the role to seriously. He forgets it's actually a comedy show and not a legit game show.
