I had a blast with Sonic 3! I hope you do too. I suggest keeping an ear out for Escape from the City since it seems very hard to find. When youre done please get CE before tomorrow too.

I have seen about seven combined minutes of the movie in-between cleaning theaters and checking on them. I have extremely spoilered thoughts.

- "He can't take us all on at once!" "He took us all on at once!" Then ending the scene with the fucking motorcycle and gun cover art? God, they learned so much since trying to 'realistic hedgehog.' I laughed positively.

- I suspected Carrey was granddad, but also legitimately thought it was a completely different actor with some makeup touches to seem like Carrey. Well, well played.

- Live & Learn!

- The first post-credits. I was like, "Cool, Metal Sonic!" Then rolled my eyes at the big Iron Man 2 'surrounded by hollow metal carbon copies' that all got blasted to bits way too easily. Then loved the Sonic CD connect with Amy.

I still havent seen 90% of Sonic 2 (I wasn't impressed by the bar scene that was playing every time i went in), but between what an adventure this was from what I saw, and how good Sonic 1 was when I watched it a few months ago, I am super excited for it to do not only well, but maybe beat Mufasa at the box office?

Yeah I heard Sonic 3s opening numbers have been quite a bit bigger than Mufasas but the international audience is where Lion King franchises is. Its opening week is definitely a lot lower than the live action lion king remake though surprisingly sonic 3 is also a bit lower than Sonic 2s. Hopefully the legs will be strong though.

Had a good time at my cousins. Went to a shooting range and shot an AK for the first time in my life, went to some escape rooms, went to fancy diners, and some other stuff. Sonic 3 was a great appetizer to it. Also learned that Kirby Return to Dreamland Deluxe is one of the best party games for first time gamers.

it was really funnnn I did a lot of showing around toronto area things and karaokeee... until getting sick and kinda just a lot of slow rest days til the end oops

and then when i dropped off at airport i kinda took the time to explore toronto a bit more but maybe pushed myself too hard and my sickness got worse and now i has ear infection oops

but ehe I got it~~ tysm I really appreciate the support especially after this months expenses woooooooof

Oof yeah, holidays are fun times but the cold can get bad for us northerners, especially where you are I'd imagine. And karaoke with a sore throat or a cold sounds like hell. I hope you feel better soon. And what songs did you sing? I'm genuinely curious.

Despite its issues I'm quite fond of Winter

My car said it was -11F when I got to work this morning. Just walking across the parking lot/streer had my face starting to go numb.

Oh now -11 is really cold lol.

I started watching some Taskmaster again after having some clips pop up in my YouTube algo. Stopped in the middle of Season 5 some years back. Watched two episodes today! It is a good time. The one where the lady had the impressive jelly toss and the one where the guy didn't know how to open an unlocked briefcase.

Actually those may have been in the same episode. The tasks all blend together, lol.

That is true. We have found taskmaster is a show we are better off not binging.

We actually just started season 17 yesterday.

After one episode:

Asim feels like a total dud. Russell is probably going to be too obnoxious to like. Tim seems fine, but like a lesser version of Bob. Liza is just kinda there. Alice will probably be the highlight of the season.

I'm really not afraid of overhyping 7, it's just an absolutely stellar cast

James Acaster is one of my favourite people and Rhod Gilbert brings in so much from being a close personal friend to Greg it's a riot

Acaster also has plenty of amazing stories on Would I Lie to You (I've also watched 6.5 hours of Acaster story retellings on Josh Widdicombe's podcast)

Oh man Series 7 cast really is one of if not the best.

I will say I personally liked Russell, pretty sure my wife did as well. We watched his comedy news show for a little while. Overall I don't really have any strong memories of rhe Series 6 cast.

We are on Series 17 and it is not starting strong cast wise, though there have been some great tasks which helps make up for it.

Series 16 reminded me that I want a Loser of Losers Season between 5 of the worst contestants. Because Lucy might be the biggest ditz in the whole series and would be a good choice for it.

Looking up 17 and I really can't remember anything beyond Nick's outfit

On a per episode basis, mostly a bunch of useless crap that each contestant brings in for the prize task. And the overall champion wins a statue of the Taskmaster's head.

But I assume there must also be some monetary compensation just for being on the show in the first place.

I think the term is panel show, game show is more for random people while panel shows are known celebs so they get like boobie prize stuff generally

House of Games is another great one and it has some pretty goofy prizes tho some are actually kinda desirable tbh

Ah, gotcha. I didn't know that was a thing until now. Now that I think of it, Japan had some of those too right? I remember seeing some clips of stuff like that linked before.

Saw a clip of some future season where they had to pour red water into a vase without spilling. This poor blonde lady had me laughing so hard. I look forward to seeing more of her in the future.

Also made me realize nothing in the first four episodes of Season 6 has made me laugh out loud much.
