You could hear him sounding like that in the background of the CNN debate analysis last night. I guess he projects his voice more to a crowd, or thought an indoor voice would be better for the debate.IDK why he sounded like he was having a major caffeine crash.

The crying is because this is going to have way less eyes on it than the debate. For the undecideds that watched the debate they saw low energy stumbling Biden, they aren't going to watch a random rally or news show about this. You only get one first impression in these things.

My Dad is like 15 years younger retired, and even he goes to bed before 6pm almost every single night. He might try to stay up if one of his favorite teams have a game but even that he might watch the next day.

Having a cold which didn't help, and being at 9:30pm did not help Biden at all.

Just out of curiosity, can you link to a few of these? I honestly haven't seen much outside of like 1 Twitter post that showed Latino voters going unanimously towards Biden when asked.

Either way, I think the debate was overblown. Mentioned it earlier, it's June, if it's one thing we know about Americans is this will be forgotten by next week because some other stupid thing that Trump will come out, or Biden will have another gaffe. I'll maintain that because the right attacking Biden's age for the past 3 years and then having a "see I told you!" after the debate, isn't as super effective for changing undecided voters. They aren't going to magically start leaning towards Trump because of this, they were likely already leaning towards Trump anyway.

And at this point, if you are actually undecided-these are the people who don't pay attention to politics to begin with, and those people tend to lean Republican anyway.

Now if you are undecided, and the only thing of substance you ever saw was the debate. You saw two old guys, one tired and sick, and the other one going on unhinged rants, talking about how Biden mandated things when Trump was president.

Optics matters, but once again it's June. I wouldn't be surprised if Trump ducks future debates because he "won" this one, but plenty of time until November for Joe to continue to look strong, and Trump to go on more insane, unhinged rants.

My mother (who was a nurse for 40 years in a major city,) mentioned that it's possible Biden took a cold medication, and that since he probably has other prescribed medication, the two substances interacted, causing Biden to be extremely tired and winded. Apparently, in these situations, this can happen, no matter the age of the person. It also would have made his stutter more magnified than normal.

That probably accounts for why Biden looked out of it during the first half of the debate. Once the interaction wore off, he seemed to energize. Of course, you couldn't tell because of the person next to him rambling off 100 lies/second, and moderators who seemed to suspiciously favor Trump.

It was also at 9:30pm I bet he goes to bed before 8pm almost every day unless the job requires his attention. He likely wakes up stupidly early, but you can bet most people over 80 are not up late.

If you agree to a debate you need to show up for the debate. Biden got better towards the end, but the first 30 minutes were really fucking rough, and nobody should be denying that.
