very unique and fast action arena combat with a whole buncha unique & variable weapons to collect. there's FFA or team matches

a lot of people aren't hot on it because the controls are definitely something you have to pick up but like they also provide an experience unlike anything else with a whole lot of content getting better weapons

but also that means wew it would take a lot of effort for me to learn to play it again in these next 5 days

honestly also a lot of Kirby Air Ride inspo except it's a battle arena

OG Splatoon going down is tragic. Quite a few good stages that have yet to be ported to 2 or 3. Local multiplayer is extremely stripped down, which will just leave the single player campaign, basically, which isn't bad but it's far from the game's main attraction.

Essentially 3 on 3 but after a certain amount of team deaths one player turns into an uber stats god player to try and facilitate a comeback, and if that uber player dies its game over

Yeah I looked it up again the other day to make sure and while it's frustratingly nonspecific, all I can see is that PokeBank will still be good

They've made is explicitly clear for over a year of repeated announcements that Pokemon Bank is remaining open even after the general service closes and I don't understand how people are still confused about it.

I still got all my Pokemon Bank business done as of today, since there's no guarantee how much longer it will remain up and maybe I won't have the free time to take care of it when it's really happening

Wow dude, I'm terribly sorry I don't have all the fucking Pokemon knowledge crammed into my head and I check this information every single month or whenever I can.

I have a habit of thinking things are explicitly clear and then turns out they're not

So a couple nights ago, hungrybox did a Smash 4 send off tournament, but there was a vote on whether or not Bayonetta should be banned for the tourney and she ended up getting banned from the votes.

Well, the grand finals ended up being.....Sonic vs Sonic
LMAO that's like something out of Evo.

There was even a bonus match where the winner would fight against the supposed best Bayo player, and he still won against Bayonetta.

I also didn't realize how absurd Ryu is in Smash 4. Like his Shoryuken can KO at fairly low percentage because of the rage mechanic.

I've never once seen any mention of Pokmon bank staying up so maybe it's not as obvious as you think and you need loose the unnecessary attitude. Geez.

This is one of those times where the banned character is technically the best but since it's banned so often you don't get to practice with them so the second best character of the meta often wins matchups

Online servers go down in 8 and a half hours.

I looked through my 3DS collection this weekend and turned on a couple games to see if there was anything last minute to get with Spotpass before that goes down...the only thing I actually got was a few weapons onto my end game FE Awakening save. I have no idea if I'd have access to that stuff if I started a new game...but I don't really have an intention of doing a replay or trying to do more postgame.

Dunno how much other games have stuff locked behind Spotpass.

Any chance anyone is available to do some last-minute Gen VI trades? I've fairly close to completing the Pokedex in Y and there are a small handful of Pokemon that will be extremely difficult for me to get without trading after the shutdown, those being...

Tynamo
Clauncher
Amuara
Hoopa
Volcanion

(or evolutions for the NFEs)

Everything else I'm missing I should be able to get using what I have. If anyone could give me a hand that would be most appreciated.

Well I still got an online game in for Mario Kart 7.

It's very possible that NoA got the time wrong, since apparently Japan had their shutdown scheduled an hour later than the US time.

Oh LAWL. Even though Nintendo closed the 3DS and Wii U service, people are STILL online playing Smash Wii U, original Mario Kart 8, and Mario Maker 1.

It's just that if they leave, they can't get back in.
