Yes, obviously we're the snowflakes not the person looking to literally kill people over it.

This whole Trump not being in jail yet thing makes me feel not safe as an American or as a person in general.

Trump spokesman? Check
"Snowflake"? Check
"Trump Derangement Syndrome"? Check

Yep, definitely someone not worth the time or effort

To that point, I'm trying to figure out if it's just more a general sense of fear/not feeling safe? Much like you would use a raincoat/umbrella to stay dry, do people believe they would have occasion to actually use a firearm during our next election cycle, or is it more of a preparedness/just in case type of deal.
Don't think you'll be safe even if you're a conservative, straight white male basement or cornfield dweller

[LFAQs-redacted-quote]

I understand full well everything the GOP is doing. I think I'm having trouble trying to ask my question here.
To your specific point then, in a practical sense, how does a firearm stop the GOP from trying to erase trans individuals? Or are we saying that trans individuals should specifically arm themselves in case they are physically accosted?
I own firearms, (and have my specific reasons), so I'm not anti. I just think sometimes people believe that firearms can solve problems that they can't, and don't always think about it in a practical sense.
When someone says "I want to obtain some guns for the next election cycle", I'm just trying to figure out if it's more for a general sense of security/safety, or do they believe they could actually find themselves in a situation where they may need to engage?
My hope is that people engage their critical thinking skills when it comes to what a firearm will/ will not solve, before rushing out to buy them.

In your attempt to be sarcastic, you made my point for me. Thank you.
People absolutely need to understand the ramifications of owning a gun for self defense, and many don't. They generalize the need for it, when they need to specifically personalize it, and internalize it.
It's easy to say something like "I'll get a gun because the GOP is on a mission to erase trans individuals". It's generalized, and owning a firearm won't stop the GOP from being the GOP. It's more specific and accurate to say, "As a trans individual, I feel so unsafe that I am going to carry a firearm, and am fully prepared to take a life if I'm forced to". That's how it needs to be viewed.
Same thing with people who say "I'll get a gun to feel safe". That's so generalized. It's harder to say, "I'm going to carry a firearm, and get the appropriate training/practice to make sure I can actually protect myself/others if the situation dictates. I'm fully prepared to take a life if I have no choice".
If someone said to me, "I'm going to purchase some firearms for the next election cycle, because I'm worried the clowns from last time around are acting squirrely again", I would wonder how much thought they had given to it beyond just in a more general sense. Would owning a firearm stop those people from doing something like that again in 2024? Or do you believe that you could actually find yourself in a specific situation where you will have to take lives to save lives?
Do you see the distinction? Generalizing the reasons to obtain firearms isn't a good idea. Internalization is important, it makes you really have to stop and think about what you truly are/are not prepared to do to be a safe, responsible, and effective firearm owner.

I don't think it's so much a need to be praised, but a need to be viewed as a good person. In this country there is this societal assumption that being Christian = good person, even though some of the biggest degenerate dregs of society identify as Christian, which explains why they constantly shove their Christianity in the faces of others; because they have this neurotic need for being seen as a good person, when they're actually one of the worst examples of humanity and a justification for an alien race subjugating us.
