Dance of the Daring Trick or Track (Temple Remix) Two Planets Approach the Roche Limit Pretty easy choices. I don't like 90% of Kirby music, though I do really like the chanting-esque parts of Two Planets Approach the Roche Limit. Meanwhile, Dance of the Daring blew me away in nominations. Keep Up doesn't quite match that, enough that it can't quite beat Kirby's strongest offering (though the drums at 1:30 are sick), but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't full-on cheering for Crossy Road Castle to take the win here. --- Nonsense. Heya, first time voting. I had no idea what to nominate, but I am willing to educate myself on the contending OSTs and give it a shot at voting. NFS has been growing up on me ever since VGMC. This song gives me chills at times, and now I'm a bit happy it retired. Daring is also pretty good, definitely like it better than the VGMC days. Psychomeddler is still a ok song for me, with some stuff to compliment. for Trick or Track, I like how I can feel the bo en composition translated to it and has a very energetic beat. Roche Limit is a interesting song for me, it feels like something that gets better as it goes, but has also many elements that makes it distracting from what it wants to achieve. Great song overall, though! I have the same comments for Keep Up as I do for Trick or Track. I'll say today is pretty even, the last two votes are close calls plus my clean preference for NFS. When seeing this matchup, I immediately felt a bit bad. These three Kirby and the Forgotten Land songs just so happened to be my favourites on the soundtrack, but I remembered liking the music in Crossy Road Castle enough to feel bad if I have to vote against it ... Northeast Frost Street is a song I didn't think I'd like as much as I do if it weren't for VGMC. Repeated listens ended up hammering it in my memory ... I love how warm this is, but not overwhelmingly festive. So full of wonder and charm! Dance of the Daring is fun and charming! The very hollow chime-y part at the beginning is especially cool, and I like how the song just progresses into something hasty. Makes me think that some Fall Guys level shenanigans are going on. Big fan of those opening notes for Psychomeddler, psyching (pun intended) me up. But then it switches up to something a bit heavier and a lot crazier. Love how it just goes everywhere, but stays cohesive. Kind of standard for Kirby fare, but jokes on you, Kirby fare kicks major ass. This shit is so bananas (complimentary), though my favourite part is where it got real quiet for a moment. Wish it was a bit longer and had more moments like that. Holy fuck, Roche Limit is one of the coolest fucking things. That choir, those bells, there's so much weight to it. But then it slips into some cool jazzy shit and somehow it doesn't seem clashing with the choir at all. It's such a weighty and meaty song with these different layers weaving through each other. Even when the e guitar takes front and center it doesn't feel at odds. What a fucking sick song. And I don't think the weird chaos of Crossy Road Castle should be underestimated either. I definitely am a bigger fan of these offerings for KatFL, but this has been a fun outing too. I love the rhythm of this one especially. The snubs match was honestly pretty close, but Today's Big Adventure may have been just a wee bit too saccharine for me to vote for it. Caravan Stories music still pretty ed though. VOTES Trick or Track (Temple Remix) this one's still a tough call because honestly... i think both of these are barely my favourites on their respective sets currently which may well be a rare take in both regards. the edge i have to give to trick/track tho is that CRC in general very subtly makes me think of an ambitious modern take (or reimagining) of the pokemon emerald battle pike due to some of its instrumentation, and it's the song closest in style to it ... Dance of the Daring Trick or Track (Temple Remix) Keep Up (Temple Remix) Forgotten Land has been an enigma to me since it came out. For over 20 years now I've always been a fan of Kirby, moreso than the average person than I met online. I was always in the position where I was speaking praises of it to people who basically weren't interested. It's in my top 10 series both for gameplay and for music. So when this game came out... I felt like an outsider for not liking it. This game, of all games, was the one that really struck a chord with non-Kirby players and got super hyped up. I rank this game among my least favorite Kirbys, again from both perspectives of gameplay and music. And even the songs that became the most popular among the KFL fans, some of them are the ones that I dislike the most from the rest of the soundtrack. Roche Limit is probably the least interesting final boss song in the entire Kirby series. I cannot see what everyone else sees in it. Every single thing about this game and its soundtrack is the opposite of how it usually is, and I'm once again in the minority, but on the wrong side this time. Meanwhile it's up against a new discovery which I liked strongly enough to double it during nominations. Writeups probably will be a lot more inconsistent from me in this contest. Match 1 is closer than I expected, match 2 is pretty clear, and match 3 has the only song that I'm not a fan of of this 6-pack.

VOTES Northeast Frost Street Faded Dream of a Psychomeddler Keep Up (Temple Remix) Match 1 already hurts, you got me voting for one of the better FL songs going against what's practically Bomberman-core music. This sucks. Match 2 is close as well, Psychomeddler does a little more than Trick or Treat. Keep Up is surprisingly really good, it easily beats what feels like the most underwhelming final boss theme I've heard from Kirby in a real long time. Roche Limit isn't bad by any means, but I always thought it lacked the solid gravitas that I can remember all the classic and modern final bosses using in their themes.
