Scream. Even Scream 3 (the only legit bad one) is still a fun movie.

However, it does have that shitty TV series.

For my dollar it's Evil Dead, but I've loved literally all the movies in that series plus Ash vs Evil Dead is an incredible show.

Third movie isn't great (and remember the 9/11 reference they forced in it?) and the 4th movie was awful, though, so 40% overall not good.

Evil Dead

This has always had consistent quality, even if the tone doesn't capture spirit of the original trilogy. The first Evil Dead reboot was a solid horror experience, the 2nd reboot was terrifying. The original trilogy is absolutely cult classic, and Ash vs. The Evil Dead is also a modern cult classic.

I also liked the first three, but the third was the weakest of them. Fifth was amazing and fourth was just bad writing, uninspired and boring deaths, and was part of the 3D gimmick that was popular at the time and just looks awful.

Evil Dead. Ash trilogy, 2013 and Rise are all great. I regrettably have not watched Ash vs. Evil Dead yet but I've heard that's just as good.

If not for the fourth one I think I'd actually agree on Final Destination, the other four movies are consistently at least fairly enjoyable. The fourth one is like. Jason Takes Manhattan-level bad. Fuck. It might have the worst special effects in any fucking movie I've seen with a budget higher than that of Birdemic.

Halloween's my favorite horror franchise, but I'd be lying if I said I thought it was consistent.

The reboot trilogy was fine. There were plenty of, ahem, less than stellar entries in the series long before them (6, Resurrection, and Rob Zombie's Halloween II are all easily at the bottom of the list).

#3 was the roller coaster one, right? I remember liking #4 but it definitely had some parts that were clearly done specifically for the 3D effect.

I don't remember all the details of the deaths, but I feel like there was some point where the series went from "freak accidents" to "supernatural force causing freak accidents." Like I think there was a scene where a latch shut on its own or some thing and it was like, weird that it could do that on its own.

6 is really the only terrible one. Resurrection is full camp and borders on so bad it's good and I will defend the zombie movies til the day I die. They aren't traditional Halloween movies but you can't deny Rob has a style of his own and they do exactly what they set out to do even if it's not what people wanted. 2018 is decent enough but has wild tonal shifts and the partial reboot aspect feels unnecessary. The other two are completely embarrassing jokes.

Child's Play gets my vote.

Child's Play: Great.
Child's Play 2: Great.
Child's Play 3: Meh.
Bride of Chucky: Fucking awesome.
Seed of Chucky: Good.
Curse of Chucky: Awesome.
Cult of Chucky: Great.
Chucky (TV Series): Great.

Child's Play reboot is not part of the Mancini series so it doesn't count.

Okay I guess my vote is for Terrifier. If we're counting All Hallows Eve it's got 3. If not, it's got 2 with another incoming.

While they're not scary, the old timey black n white Wolf Man movies were also surprisingly good. And I say that as someone who does not give a damn about werewolves. The remake of Wolf Man was a little dull in between him rampaging. But it wasn't terrible.

And both versions of The Blob are great!

Yeah, #3 was the roller coaster. It had some good deaths in it, but it also had a scene where "9/11 was foreshadowed because an airplane's shadow was on the Twin Towers in a picture." And I can't remember if that was a deleted scene or actually in the version I saw.

Fourth movie was so bad for me that I almost didn't see the fifth one in the theater, but damn am I glad I did. It was amazing, especially the twist at the end.

As for the supernatural forces causing accidents, that was already in the first movie where Death made the bathroom floor slippery from a leak and then made the leak go back to where it came from after the kill. All the kills are Death's design in every movie.

I'd like to recommend to you the channel Dead Meat, which goes over mostly horror movies' kills and even goes in depth sometimes for how scenes were done. It's a great channel that showed up in my recommendations earlier this year or late last year, I forgot. They've covered all the Final Destination movies, if you've got a bit of time to spare.
