I think they shouldn't explain the snails. I think it's funny just to have viewers accept it without reason.

Yes.

And while it may not have came out clearly, the transponder snails will mimic the appearance of the person they are broadcasting.

Seeing the Snail versions of all different characters is one of the many small details that One Piece fans look forwards to.

There's been next to no explanation or origin about the transponder snails, and I hope they keep it that way.

They're just psychic. That's about all you need really.

Yeah, the humans (Vegapunk?) Built a device that enables the actual calling feature, but the snails themselves are just psychic. That's the principal behind behind how they work.

In one chapter Franky finds a snail and is like "Want me to make it into a phone" and that's the closest we've ever gotten to an explanation as to how they work

So as someone who never seen the anime or read the comics.
I thought it was pretty good.
The main character's enthusiasm is infectious. It's a clolourful crew and told a fun story. I'll stic around and see if season 2 comes out.

So I've now rewatched the first 15 or so episodes of the anime. So many good moments.

Finally finished it last night after being busy the past few days. Its great! I loved it. I want more. They ended it at the most logical conclusion too

Mihawk and Buggy stole da show, what an amazing casting lol.

Da strawhats were all great too, i kinda wish Usopp had more lines but he'll get dem in season 2 for sure, i do kinda miss dere not being a walk to arlong park and luffys "which one of you is arlong" line(i know he says it at baratie but meh) but nami's "help me" scene was perfect dat I'm ok with it

I do wonder if we're going to be keeping up with coby and his story line in da live action, it'd be kinda cool if we see all da shit he and helmeppo encounter as dey move up da ranks in da marines. I like da snail pods too lol, a very cool concept

It has been a long time since I read the Baroque Works arc, but do the marines do much there? I know Smoker is around Loguetown and was teased at the end. Not sure how I would feel if Coby and Helmeppo are shoehorned into all of Luffy's adventures, like running around Alabasta on their own made up side quests... I hope they can find a good balance. There is also some audience satisfaction to not seeing Coby for several episodes, a season or more, and then getting reunited with him.

I'm almost finished with episode 4. I love the Luffy actor. He has the doofy happy go lucky grin perfect.

I made it to ep... 450ish? Of the anime.

Smoker shows up in Alabasta because he's been chasing them since Loguetown.

Luffy has Zoro save him from drowning when they're all locked up in Crocodile's hideout.

Minor nitpick but I just can't with the L/R switcheroo.

Hes so damn charming in this role

I'm still kind of amused at how I straight up hate Sanji in the manga but in the LA I adore him to pieces. His actor has been perfect with still being flirty and weird but without the creep pervert mode that's on 95% of the time originally.

Yeah I like that they didn't go overboard with Sanji and make him feel like a creep. He's a simp but in a charming way.

The actor not only trained for the kicking choreography, but also trained as a chef which is pretty cool.

It is great when actors can really get into a character by actually doing things like that. Reminds me of when I learned that George Takei taught himself fencing for one episode of Star Trek.

Right!? I've been watching the behind the scenes stuff on Youtube lol. I'm impressed at how even most (all?) of the main cast knows the source material, too. I watched one of those "answer the most Googled OP questions" videos and I was surprised and amused at how they all talked about stuff that's from the last completed arc.

it did seem all over the place (whole series spoilers) Luffy seems weak lifting the safe in episode 1and then last episode hes punching and kicking through solid concrete pillars as if they were made of paper

Nothing. It's short for Prologue and Epilogue as it's known as the town of beginnings and endings. The end of Roger's story and the beginning of the great pirate era.

Oh forgot to mention it. Not sure if this counts as a spoiler for the manga but during Shanks' flashback they played Binks' Sake.

I watched it but eh LA ain't for me and not feeling some of the actors imo. Going to pass from the rest of the eps. Some episodes just didn't feel it for me, there's some changes I liked and others I don't (like Luffy vs krieg gets cut)

It's not a bad Live action since it's better than ones like death note, dragon ball etc. It does captures the tone of One piece well but meh
