How do you fucking do it?

How early do you consider 'early morning'? I used to start at 6am, which meant getting up somewhere around 4:45.

Pretty sure my 5 and 6 year old nephews have a later bed time than I do.

What does this question even mean? If you work nights probably don't want to have a family. Work early just go to sleep at 7 so you can wake up at 3.

By going to bed at different times.

When I was a kid my dad would go to work at like 3pm in the afternoon and get home sometime around 2am. I'd only ever see him on weekends because whenever he was home and awake I was either still at school or already in bed.

You do what you've got to do.

If anything it's probably easier now because so much stuff is 24-hour service or can be done online at any time.

same, did it for most of my twenties. Wasnt so bad, had the whole day free after work.

these days I dont want to do anything after work, so I dont mind sleeping in an extra couple of hours

My job has variable reporting times/locations. One day I had to report to a place 2.5 hours away at 4am. That was fun

I work from 2AM to 10AM.

The truth is that I just don't sleep. Gotta "wake up" in 3 hours for a shift. I'll just doze off in my computer chair an hour at a time throughout the day.

I took early morning to be 4. 6 isn't especially early.

I've always been a night owl, so night shift is perfect for me.

If your shift starts at 6 am, I would consider that early morning. Yea, its subjective, but if the generic work day is 9-5 then thats a 3 hour difference. I occasionally have to work a 5:30 am shift and I hate it.

I work a 1415-2245 shift now that I like, but Id prefer a third shift gig if I could.

I start work at 5 and run for about an hour before heading in. That means the alarm is going off at 2:17. It's not so bad, but I do jump in bed right after we put our two year old to bed at 7:30. It's not enough sleep, but it's generally not year round, just from November through April and the rest of the year is a 6 AM start time which isn't too bad.

I work 9pm-7am, i just sleep during the day as crazy as that sounds.

In my last job I would normally wake up at 4am because of the drive and when we had special projects *cough*audits*cough* I'd have to get up at like 2am BUT I'd be off by lunchtime.
Now I'm on that 8-5 grind and it's okay, nice and steady I guess

I wake up at 4:30 and start work at 5 am. I love it. I have been doing it for many many years. I get the whole afternoon to myself.

Its not hard to work nights when you're a night owl and don't have kids or a spouse.

You have to be a morning person.

Folk get into a routine depending when their shift starts and end. Not hard to grasp.

I can do till around 4-5 but for some reason til 6 sucks. Maybe I just need to light proof my room.
