Its trash. Some people always seemed shocked when I say that I dont like Chipotle.

It doesnt even taste that good and almost always gives me diarrhea. Just as much or more than Taco Bell.

If I want Mexican food Ill just go buy real Mexican food from a truck or a real Mexican food restaurant. Id rather eat better food and support the small business than a corporation like Chipotle.

I understand if Chipotle is the only Mexican food near you and thats all you got, but Chipotle is not good.

The best way I have heard it described is "White people Mexican food" (Not to be confused with "white people tacos" aka Taco Bell).

Which is completely apt, because it is mostly flavorless, bland, and overpriced. In other words, everything white people love.

i always forget that a lot of places have absolutely dog shit Mexican food. its a shame because good Mexican food is some of the best food on the planet.

This, it's more expensive than Taco Bell but not any better. If I want real Mexican food I'll go to a real Mexican place and if I want something kinda Mexican I'll get Taco Bell

I'm mexican and I like chipotle and taco bell, its not "real" mexican food but who cares? Ill take a mexican pizza and general tso chicken anyday tyvm

I understand Chipotle. It's a lot of food for what you pay. It's half decent. Not as good as the real stuff, but tbh most Mexican food involves hours on the toilet so I don't eat it much when other cultures have managed to make good tasting food that doesn't do that.

The millennial restaurant I don't understand is Chick fil a. That food just tastes like dry generic chicken. None of the hype is deserved.

Basically this When it comes to the taste of food, its a very subjective thing. You dont like Chipotle, and thats fine. Others do, and thats also fine. Your opinion is just that

My main complaint with them is the quality is very inconsistent, not just between stores, but even with different staff at the same store.

It's Taco Bell tier but not even in the fun way.
I had some friends up north who were obsessed with it and had to go there at least once a month. I still haven't been to the one that moved in up the street from my workplace and it's been several years since it opened.

Yeah it sucks. It's not offensively bad but I have a lot of good actual Mexican food where I'm at for the same price so I'll take that every time over Chipotle

Well I like it. It's fine to not like something but just say "no I don't like that I'll have *insert food you like here*".

I never understood the thing with diarrhea and any form of Mexican food. or Asian. seems like there might be other things there.. never had this problem. And with CHIPOTLE?? lol what. it's basic, what's the problem with your intestines

I don't really think of Chipotle as Mexican food when I want Mexican, back in Texas and California obviously I had much better options for that

but it's it's own thing and sometimes I just want a bowl with rice and beans and guac and stuff and that's cool. for fast food it's pretty nice

pricey for that though, can always cook better food, but it's convenient and it's own thing

yeah. whenever someone says xx gives them the shits, i will always tell them to go to a doctor, because that absolutely is not a normal thing, despite how ubiquitous the meme is. it is not normal. especially for commercial food from a literal nationwide franchise.

generally no, I don't. I eat lots of spicy things. Only had my stomach upset once and that was a spicy challenge that was stupidly stupidly spicy. most things aren't that, that was going out of your way spicy. Not talking spiciest level at a Thai restaurant but something made to be a challenge and painful (have no desire to do that again just did it with a friend).

maybe if you just don't normally have ANY levels of spicy things?

This is exactly how an interaction with your doctor is going to go:

You: "Hey doctor, I have explosive diarrhea every time I eat overly processed fast food."
Doctor: "Then don't eat overly processed fast food, it isn't good for you anyways."

I think people have normalized every shit being explosive. There's definitely a change in my bowel habits when I eat decent food versus when I eat greasy restaurant/fastfood slop.

These people live in white suburban / rural areas and don't know any better. If I want some takeout, I almost always buy from local places. Really miss this local Dominican place that had the best pork and rice and it's not something you can find in a chain restaurant. The problem is that these suburban / rural people ONLY have chain restaurants or very bad family restaurants due to lack of competition. This is also why you see so many people talk about eating fast food, which I'd never choose to eat if there was a better option available.

I have never had Chipotle or Taco Bell.

The only other more 'authentic' places I have near me are texmex and they are more expensive by a good bit. Chipotle tastes great for the price and gives good quantity. However they're overloaded in sodium but that's all restaurants that do that **** because excess salt is like a drug that the american people have been hooked onto

FYI I OD'd and that permanently damaged my stomach lining, making it more sensitive. I have no idea what makes you think I'm proud or happy about this.

With that said I still have eaten Chipotle, spicy and mild, and have eaten real Mexican food, and -in my opinion- authentic Mexican food is better. Chipotle is good for a healthy/cheap alternative but it lacks taste imo.
