(Frankly I think we are a net-positive to fandom so i don't foresee a shutdown any time soon, but you never know) also, if Fandom divested itself of the GFAQs forums, I'm sure some user(s) would step in to buy this asset just to keep it going. But i imagine if gfaqs shut down, a lot of people would check in there had this convo with a dude from there and we both known eachother for 10 years but never met. I don't plan for being here any more than it takes to collect a temporary folder of memes. If I didn't come here, I'd just be doing something else to waste time and/or entertain myself.
