I wanna do a meat only diet. But when I eat chicken, it takes me like an hour to eat the whole thing since I have to put so much effort into chewing it.

And any seasoning cooking tips would be welcome as well, but keep in mind I'm looking to cook and eat chicken in less than 20 minutes. Thanks.

It's just a chicken breast I got from Walmart that I put that I could on a stove. I just cook it on medium until it looks good. Sad thing is, it's super thick.

That's a bad idea, unless you've been given some sort of medical reason to try it.

And that's why God invented knives. If you're cooking a thick piece of meat in a pan, you'll have cooked the outer parts to the point of being tough before you get the inner parts fully cooked. That's okay if you're dealing with something you can eat rare, like a steak, but that's not really an option with chicken. Cut it up into smaller pieces, and they'll both cook faster and cook more evenly.

That's not impossible, but it's generally a pretty tall order, especially if you're including prep time in that, and even more so if you aren't comfortable enough in the kitchen to be able to cook quickly. Is there a reason you're aiming for that?

I don't want to waste up to 2 hours a day eating food that I could eat in less than 5 minutes, which is generally the time it takes to eat junk and fast food.

I want to eat healthy, but I don't want to waste 2 hours of my day cooking and eating.

No, taking the time to properly prepare meals is a part of making things not taste bland.

Although I would prefer that it have some sort of flavor. I can eat it if it has bland taste. But I can't eat it if it takes me an hour each time to eat it.

Eliminating everything but meat from your diet won't do that. If anything, there's a solid chance it'll make them worse, because vitamin deficiencies tend to mess with energy levels.

KingDavid posted...
I want to go sugarfree.

You can do that without limiting yourself to meat. The amount of sugar you get from fruits and vegetables is fine, particularly where their fibre content prevents them from spiking your blood sugar. It's overwhelmingly added sugar that you need to worry about eliminating, and unless you add sugar to the things you cook, food made from scratch has no added sugar.

I don't want to waste up to 2 hours a day eating food that I could eat in less than 5 minutes, which is generally the time it takes to eat junk and fast food.

You can generally do other things while eating if you're that worried about wasting time. Same with cooking, if you do something relatively passive. Even so, you should really reframe that way of thinking: Your time is not so valuable that spending an hour or two cooking and eating good food is a "waste." Make a point of enjoying the things you eat and taking pride in what you create. That's what sets it apart from junk/fast food in terms of the impact it has on your life, and moves you away from the mindset of seeking utilitarian instant gratification by relying on convenience food.

Beyond that, though, you don't have to cook every day. Make large batches of recipes, then refrigerate or freeze leftovers as appropriate and reheat them as needed. You can easily get away with 1-2 hours a week of cooking that way, with each meal being a simple matter of taking a few minutes to reheat your food. Even if you're not a fan of leftovers, there are tons of dishes you can do that you can prepare ahead of time, store, then cook quickly and/or with little effort. Don't think of it strictly in terms of cooking a whole dish from scratch every meal.

Thighs are easy, debone lay it flat and roughly 5 minutes each side and it should be cooked.

Breasts are roughly the same 5 minutes each side on a skillet, but then you need cook it in an oven for 10-15 minutes. It's basically impossible to cook a breast all the way through on a skillet without drying it out so the oven is a required step for a juicy tasty breast.

Best seasoning is salt, pepper, garlic, thyme, cumin, paprika.

Also this. Those aren't nutritionists or other professionals that can be expected to have useful insights into what you should eat. Those are pundits catering to an audience of fragile men who want somebody to tell them that tying masculinity to how much meat you eat is okay (among similar affirmations of some questionable ideas of what it means to be a man). When they promote an all-meat diet, it's not because it has nutritional merit, it's because that's what their audience wants to hear, giving them validation and money.

There's a lot of different things you can do here

  • You're probably cooking it too long get a digital thermometer and cook to an internal temperature of 155 and let rest for a few minutes so it can get closer to 165
  • Another tip I could suggest is, The colder your meat is the longer it will take to cook when it hits the frying pan. I do this more often with steak but you could do it with chicken too. Put the meat in a oven at a very low temperature for a few minutes before it hits the pan. We're not trying to cook it here just warm it up a bit.
  • Learn to butterfly your chicken, this will let it cook faster
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/7/1/0/AAPCn7AAEvo-.jpg

  • When cooking your chicken don't add it to a cold pan make sure it's sizzling hot
  • Chicken thigh is harder to overcook and it's more tender if you don't mind getting it instead of breast
  • After done cooking, or maybe before, take a look at your chicken you'll notice there's dozens of parallel little lines that run along the whole chicken breast. If you cut your chicken with lines that intersect those then you'll have much more tender meat because you're cutting against the grain.
  • Or you could adopt the Chinese method which is called velveting your chicken. This can be done by mixing your chicken with baking soda and letting it tenderize for 20 minutes, just don't let it tenderize for too long or the meat becomes mushy, that's how effective it is.

Also there's infinite ways of seasoning meat and I've done dozens upon dozens of configurations.

Chicken schnitzel! Slice boneless chicken as thinly as you can, then pound the crap out of it with a mallet until it's paper thin. Then coat it with flour & seasonings. Then fry it in hot oil; it only takes a few minutes if it's super thin.

This recipe is traditionally made with veal, but pork works great too.
