Pokemon Scarlet/Violet couldn't have had more than a two year turnaround, and the game was a broken, unoptimised mess on launch. The team went from SwSh and its DLC into Legends Arceus into A/V over the span of four years, give Game Freak a break. That being said, it was mostly just "here's competitive Pokemon, here's some live service game updates, here's some DLC". They released a couple of sidegames, one that I'm not interested in playing and the other one on a service I'm not interested in paying for. It was a waste of my time. They could have released a Pokemon R/B/Y pack on the eShop and it would have been something. Like companies release packs of their ROMs all the time, look at the Puzzle Fighter collection and a bunch of those SNK handheld collections or the Castlevania Advance Collection. I'd rather them come to NSO, but selling them again is an option. I don't care that they didn't announce a new game. I actually hope they go for a year or two without announcing any new games, I want the devs to finish up development on S/V and begin work on a new project in earnest before we have the Pokemon Company going "NEW GAME NEW GAME THIS AUGUST THERE'S A NEW GAME GET EXCITED", releasing a broken product and having a swarm of turds assert that the game is fine, it's just a broken piece of shit because the Switch isn't powerful enough to run it. Even taking aside the visual/aesthetic bugs, Tera Raids (especially the online experience) are some of the jankiest crap I've ever seen in the entire franchise. At least the Sword/Shield raids actually more or less worked properly, even if they were slower paced (in fact, I think part of the problem with Tera Raids is that they try to have too much happening too fast, to the point they shoot themselves in the foot and ironically end up looking bogged down as a result) But yeah, I agree. After BDSP and SV, I have no idea what else people are expecting from trying to push even more rushed releases.
