A lawyer superhero show? That's some things I ever wanted. Alley Mcbeal crossed with comic books is great. Or Boston Legal crossed with comics. Or really any lawyer show in that vein would be great mixed with supers shenanigans

How does it work?
Like, I can't see being a hulk helping out on the lawyer side of things.

I thought it was solid and felt pretty in line with Shulkie from the comics.

YMMV.

I thought it was bland. Some of the legal premises they came up with had some cool setup but the follow through just wasnt it.

I had high hopes because Harvey Birdman was one of my favorite shows back in the day, but I ended up dropping She Hulk after three episodes. >_>

The other shows were still trying to maintain super powers and super suits are rare and then she-hulk says lol come on theyre everywhere now. The universe had to make that shift eventually.

It's at least tied for best MCU show.

I enjoyed it. As far as Disney+ Marvel shows go, I'd still say that Moon Knight, Loki, and WandaVision are more entertaining, but I'd still say it was good overall, and it definitely doesn't deserve the vitriolic hate that it got (mostly from online grifters targeting terminally-online, basement-dwelling incels, and then the incels themselves parroting the grifters' claims that the show somehow "hates men").

This. It's funny and Tatiana is great. The CGI is wonky but other than that I enjoyed it a lot.

Its fine. Not the best, not the worst. I liked it up until the stupid ending

Funny enough, this is a key plot point in the show.

But Jen's whole deal is that she's actually in full control of her Hulk form, so the Hulk form is really just a more confident version of herself.

I liked how most episodes ended in subverting clichs, but I also think could have been better (I guess you could say that about any MCU show). I would love to see more seasons.

For every "why does everything have to be world ending" theres another "there were no stakes, nothing happened"

I love the show. A lot of people hate it.

Just remember that its not suppose to be a superhero show.

I watched it several months after it aired. Long after the hate cycle and loved it. Didnt get why it was hated but it was kinda too late to look up why social media hated it since they moved on to something else.

Opinions vary. I quite liked it.

It's the first thing I've seen her in, it's hard to not to love her and her charisma. I think the actress made the show a lot better, had they cast someone a bit more common, the show wouldn't have worked as well imo. I enjoyed it.

I think people getting the wrong impression on the scene where she told Bruce that she can handle her emotion better because she's used to be getting catcalled.

Bruce actually called her out on it and tell her to stop "lawyering" herself. And the first scene where she Hulked out is exactly because she's getting catcalled.

I thought it was excellent, and the best of the MCU shows thusfar.

It's definitely gonna be a love it or hate it thing, though.

It was such a stupid thing to be mad about regardless. The entire point of the Hulk is that Bruce doesn't know how to control his anger. Jenn absolutely is supposed to be better at managing her emotions than him.

I actually liked it. Though the ending for me was confusing and I hated it. I do want another season.

It's a good show overall. Tatiana Maslany is pretty much a perfect fit for the role. She's funny and charming and the chemistry between She-Hulk and Daredevil later in the show is great. Most of the humor worked for me as well.

For the negatives I think the overall story was just okay and while I appreciate that they tried to do something different with the ending I don't think they quite stuck the landing.

I think they'd be better off making it an hour long show, if they decide on another season. That way they can delve into the court cases more. Have it really be closer to Ally McBeal than a 30 minute sitcom.

Oh wow could this show be fantastic? Omg Wong is hilarious, I'm laughing so hard at the "I'm not erasing everyone's minds again" line.

They brought back not just abomination but emil blonsky himself... crazy. They even tied it back to that scene in ShangChi.

you should watch Orphan Black (if you haven't already). it's excellent.

If Wong is okay with it then... huh. I don't know what to think. Is this not a giant ploy by blonsky? And if he was in jail all this time how come Thunderross wasn't at least punished in some way for causing it, instead he was heading up the Avengers Sokovia Accords thing in Civil War? What.

I thought the ending was dumb tbh.

I was a bit shaky on the first episode, couldn't tell if I liked it or not, but it's looking like it's pretty fun.

I did roll my eyes/chuckle at jen crying about whether captain america was a virgin, it's like the recent mcu shows (and movies) are straight up looking up online/reddit type discussions and directly referencing them for better or worse.

The thing I dislike about it, is that it really isn't fair to have the Sword of Damocles over their head whenever she asks a question.
Like, she can destroy your town, and everyone you know in it, and could walk away and no one could do anything to her, and she's allowed to be a lawyer, like what the fuck?
She's walking around the Courtroom with a loaded Nuclear Weapon on her shoulder, and the American Justice system is allowing this?

Why would Ross be punished in any way? He was explicitly doing the stuff he did with the government's approval and Blonsky was the scapegoat for everything.

I would have thought she'd start her own lawyering business like Daredevil co especially since she could use her new fame/infamy to drum up lots of clients if not publicity, but instead she's working for this big law firm eh.

By the way why does a random office in a big professional law firm have a shelf full of comic books...

I thought it was OK. I probably would have been liked it more if the antagonist was better and the ending didn't go completely off the rails.

I loved it. Its the most comic book accurate live action She-Hulk you can get. I really didnt think they would go that far, but they did and it was great.

Oh okay. The first miss joke. Well not the first but yeah that post end credits bit wasn't really funny.

But the robbery scene beforehand was hilarious, her screaming in terror and going "oh, wait" and then transforming to kick their butts. Still I'd be more worried if I was her, something is clearly afoot.

I thought the show was great. Everything with Madysinn was hilarious and I wish she was in more episodes.

The only thing the show could have really done better is do more with the court cases. It was funny, but also cool to see how superhero antics can have serious legal consequences and set precedents for the future. The cases of the week were usually very basic or interrupted halfway so there was very little opportunity to appreciate their legal complexity.

It would've worked better if they actually made it a super hero lawyer show. They kind of ditch that premise for half of the show. The episode with the bachelorette party was a low point in the MCU for me, definitely not my sense of humor.

Right. It was focused more on Jennifer's personal life with the courtroom stuff feeling like an afterthought a lot of the time. If there's a season 2 I hope there's a better balance of the two.

Legit the best MCU show at least tied with Hawkeye. Most of them have been mid but I genuinely enjoyed She-Hulk

They were the first law firm to have a dedicated superpowered-focused branch in the country. And they made it explicit to Jen that she should always be She-Hulk when representing the firm. So it's either for research or "research".

Also, Wong and Madisynn steal the show every time they are together. It definitely ventures into "This show is enjoyable, but where's Wongers and Madisynn?" territory.

I got half way through. Its really bad so i stopped.

It's looking like everything I'd hope it would be. Trying to incorporate supernatural stuff into courtrooms... somehow. The whole case with the shapeshifting asgardian elf girl was so dumb in all the right ways.

Oh now I know where I've seen that other lawyer guy from, he plays the boyfriend in Scream 6. Was wondering about that.
