Actually, writing it out sort of made me realize how screwed up our "normal schedule / roadmap" is for professional women. Had a few younger preceptors that had given up on starting a family because they were too old by the time they completed their training.

My point is its all subjective and dependent on context. I definitely do not agree at all with the logic oh its legal so it cant be weird/wrong. Even a smaller age gap can be weird dependent on circumstances. I know a dude that met his girlfriend when he was 20 and she was 15. Thats fucking weird.

Morality is going to be different for everyone, too Cheating is bad because youre breaking someones trust Age gaps are bad for some people, but not for others, though In the case of age gaps, people say its gross, but theres nothing morally wrong with age gap dating in general

The training wouldnt take 40 years. The first 18 is usually regular school Depending on the career, the next however many years is college And that range can vary due to money issues, the length of extra schooling, or even being chosen for the school (like with nurses and dental hygienist)

Personality can't carry someone alone. Infact, the term "judge a book by it's cover" is a common thing. Even in online dating and relationships, you wont even be considered for a date at first glance if you look ugly. And even average looking men have it hard in the dating scene. Hence why men must make up for their looks in different ways. Life is a competition. If a woman sees a guy with a decent personality, but sees an even better guy who also has a good personality but has better status, more connections, more money, etc that guy will be more attractive for a relationship.

The idea that you think that a person can maintain a relationship through his personality alone, without having a good job or career, is laughable at best.

This goes both ways though, you can be judged for being judgmental/close-minded yourself. Being more open-minded/giving the benefit of the doubt as a default before getting more informed views with context is generally seen as the best ideal these days, for many things.

If a man has a bad job/makes little money and stays complacent with no means or motivation of improving his situation, then he will be left.

Most women tend to have a thing called options. Financial stability and money are extremely important in life. Hence why it's important for men to build a career or get a job that pays well. You don't tell a guy "It's okay if you're broke. be attractive and you'll find a woman who sticks with you".

Rather, you tell a guy "have ambition and motivation. Work your ass off and get money. be the best possible version you can be". Men don't have the luxury of maintaining relationships with their looks or personality alone. They must bring several things to the table

Ok, let's say a "normal" path (no "skipping" or "taking time off")

Graduate from high school 18

Get into college & graduate 22

Let's say post grad (generally 3 ~ 4years depending on the field) --> 25 ~6

Now, depending on profession (especially in the healthcare field), there may be a few more years of residency to add on to that.

So you can end up with late 20s (say, a lawyer) or early 30s (say, a doctor) before the training is complete.
