You might be safe from that, but it does nothing to the Wave/Galactus/Spider-Man play

galactus is hopefully getting murked next week if their comments are to be believed so that's fine for a few days. I was running into high evo control more than galactus personally

I was just thinking the other day that maybe Spider-Man should cost 5 instead of 4. I'm glad this removes 1 turn of "unspent energy" in HE decks but I think maybe you still play him in that deck on turn 5.

I can believe that though since my season started in the 20s Ive yet to run into High Evo even somehow climbing to 30. This Shuri Nimrod deck is pretty fun to use and nobody at all seems to expect a Nimrod played after Shuri. Ive had a decent amount of retreats using it especially when Shuris Lab is a location.

Depending on your opening draw, this makes it slightly more likely Spidey gets turned into a Pig soon

It's genuinely going to be so lame if they nerf Galactus into something like "Destroy all cards in other lanes" instead of the locations themselves. All it's gonna do is make Galactus played with Nimrod more.

Also the idea of making cards less unique bugs me, even if they are occasionally annoying to get got by.

Best change they could probably do to keep Galactus the same is make Wave and possibly other cards unable to reduce his cost so he cant be played earlier?

There's some hyper nits playing this game. I snapped on 6 here and played Shang and Max. He retreated.

The ONLY way I could win was with Shang, and even so, he could still reasonably win the other two lanes knowing I only had 3 energy to defend them.

You could bounce her back and play her again for 8 power

Beast is a pretty big nerf to 0 cost Kitty since now its impossible til turn 4 without Elysium

You could still do it on Turn 3 with Psylocke, but now youre skipping a turn of Kitty so whats the point?

Yeah I will say that I don't really like the trend of releasing a new strong card and then having to nerf older cards that it synergizes with.

Like killing Quinjet because of Thanos instead of just fixing Thanos. This has the same feeling

Beast started getting popular because Hit Monkey and Kitty but instead of changing those cards you nerf Beast instead?

i've said this before -

beast was fine at 2 cost, they just needed to change kitty (/ the way that cost reductions work) such that the cost reduction only applied to the next time she was played, and not every subsequent time.

I think this is the genius of the game. You don't balance individual cards, because they only exist in the context of decks, so you balance the decks instead. It's harder to and more fair. Your favorite card might get ruined, but your favorite play style won't.

Okay the bot rush is finally over and I'm back to playing against Galactus every game. It was fun while it lasted.

Galactus games are so fun.

They either retreat turn 2, get their shit off and leave you helpless, or you out play them and they retreat before your animation is even done.

Galactus games rule.

Based on my idea that playing a "hero" deck vs a "villain" deck is the most fun way to play this game, and the fact that Galactus is the ultimate villain deck which turns any opponent deck (even other villains) into heroes trying to stop him, then his deck ends up adding the most fun overall to the game

Yeah but it's a very anticlimactic battle, because it's either the villain vaporizes the hero and leaves them for dead with a snap of their fingers, or the hero gives them a bop on the nose and they run away crying. No epic struggle involved.

The worst change for this patch was Beast, they gave him to Silver Surfer and crippled Cerebro 2.

I'd say it's dramatic around 50% of the time. Locations can make it interesting, and so can draw order.

But seriously, ANY win against Galactus should make you happy, otherwise you're missing out. Even a 1 cuber due to a standard counter.

I emote against every Galactus player I beat. It feels like it should be the law to bully them.

I have never been retreated on more than I have with this Master Mold deck. It's nearly 100% of the time after I do Master Mold > Absorbing Man.

So what exactly is in the Jane Lockjaw deck? Theres only like 2-3 cards that cost 0 and thats counting Mjolnir

if no high evo then you can run another 1 drop like sunspot or nightcrawler. doom/odin/hulk can be replaced for giganto, vision, magneto. but with so much spider man around keeping doom in might be smart

Well I do have all of those other than Jane.

Jubs and Doom are also fine lockjaw targets. I ran a lot of the pre-evo version

Yes it is as soon as she is added, but the odds are very low. Like the average player will open 1 series 5 card by CL 2000 or something like that but it could also never happen at all. I got one, Galactus, right around CL 3000 I think

You know I thought these Series 3 cards would cycle without a repeat, but Im already seeing Shadow King again despite checking every reset.

Same, I would feel terrible if I bought him and he dropped Series the next month.

I did just get NTW but I'm not sure who to use her with or what to do with her.

I dont think Ive gotten any 5s from Reserves yet. Ive got 9 stashed up so far though waiting for that hot 0.05% chance or whatever of a pool 5 character

Jeff is definitely worth 6000 tokens. I kinda doubt he drops series next month but even if he does, he's totally worth it right now

I think the worst losses in this game are when my opponent calls my bluffs that they shouldn't be calling.

I'm playing a Dino deck and I have 28 power in a lane, other guy has 4 power and Dracula. On turn 6 he plays Modok and Dracula discards a 20 Apoc so he's adding 28 power into the lane.

So he's betting on me not adding 4+ power into this lane (the 1st lane was full and 3rd lane was Bar With No Name I was winning).

Why would you bet the entire game on your opponent not adding 4+ power into a lane?

It just so happens that I was not able to add 4 power into the lane and I lost. So yes, it's my fault for not counting Modok + Apoc in the lane but why would you stay in a game that's hinging on 4 power from your opponent on turn 6?

Lol I hate that so much because it encourages me to make bad plays because I get it right often enough and because it also happens to me with negative results more often than it should.
