Do they just have the date wrong on this? It's technically saying maintenance will he done at around 11PM est TOMORROW night, but it says 5 hours is expected on the page.

Nah, it's right. 2023-06-07 11:00 (UTC+08:00) is 2023-06-06 23:00 (UTC-04:00).

I don't think I've ever played a gacha game where they do maintenance straight up in the middle of NA primetime. They have always done it either overnight or like early morning/afternoon.

I haven't even logged in today so it's pretty annoying since the game does weird shit where it won't work unless I'm on wifi. No matter how good the signal strength is, it doesn't let me login on mobile data. Didn't always used to be that way but started doing it a few weeks after release.

Edit: I guess Genshin did the same maintenance time but I just kinda blanked that because I played it on playstation so didn't classify it the same as a mobile game

Not bad. I wasn't keep track but I think I got her on my 7th or 8th 10-pull, so I've still got a fair amount of Jade leftover for whatever I pull for next (I'm guessing Kafka...). Also got a decent 4-star Light Cone for her as well as most of Serval's and a few of Dan Heng's eidolons.

Had enough for 29 pulls but didn't get her. Got 2x Serval, 1x Dan Heng and a 4* light cone (I think Arlan's)

49 into pity so I could likely force the 50/50 before her banner ends. But will have to dwell on that because if I do get her on the 50/50 then I'll probably be in a 50/50 situation on Kafka as I doubt there's time to get 2 full pities before her banner (maybe there is, I dunno).

Was basically hoping for a lucky early pull on Silver Wolf but didn't happen.

Small notation, her in battle AoE is potential is nil, but her Talent is probably the best offensive opening against a group in the game thus far.

There's more companion missions, but I don't think the main story is advancing.

Failed my first 5* pull on Silver Wolf to Bailu

Theres supposed to be a bunch of new companion missions, which are kind of like story?

Won the 50/50 at like 41 pity or something, lucky. Guess Ill pull to the 50/50 on Luocha and then re-evaluate? Itd be cool to get my Qingque from E4 to E6, and IIRC shes on his banner.

Trying to get decent relics for Silver Wolf is painful. The set that drops with the Quantum one sucks. Maybe I should just settle for the Musketeer set. I have yet to see a single body piece with Effect Hit Rate main stat in my whole time playing the game

On the plus side I got E3 Asta, E3 Dan and E3 Serval so thats something I guess. Out of tickets, but have plenty of content to get to still so should manage to get her still and then gotta hope Im lucky enough to get Kafka too.

I've liked the companion missions just as much as the main story on average tbh. They even managed to make Hook's decent. Also it sounds like at least 2 of the ones added this patch have a reasonable amount of main story relevance, though that's a bit of speculation by me.

I wouldn't advise investigating yourself because there's massive story spoilers floating around at the moment, but according to the leaks subreddit the next main story missions are planned to be added in update 1.2

Only had enough for 30 pulls and some change which got me a few Astas and a Dan Heng, plus another Resolution LC to fuel Welt's I guess. Hopefully I can hit 50/50 before the banner rotates.

Is there a consensus for how 5-star characters with no eidolons compare to 4-star characters with maxed eidolons as a general rule? I'm realizing it's probably going to be easier to get the latter than it will be to get any eidolon levels for a particular 5-star unless I'm willing to dump everything on 1 character (which I'm not).

Depends on the 5* I guess. Like Seele is going to outperform E6 4*s probably whereas Himeko is beaten by 4*s that are E0

Bailu and Nat do slightly different things and I don't think E level really changes that.

And then stuff like Asta and Tingyun don't have 5* equivalents (I think, I don't use either) and are said to be great.

The people commenting on the meta probably understand something that I don't, but Tingyun has mostly felt underwhelming to me.

She's essentially replicating your best attacker and also making them deal lightning damage. So you can have someone like Seele dealing both Quantum and Lightning damage. That's pretty OP on paper at least.

For the record this is also the conclusion I came to before actually trying her out. The problems I've run into are:

-It doesn't feel like she adds nearly as much to your damage output as this would suggest. Of course, her kit is such that a fair chunk of this damage will be somewhat invisible if you aren't paying close attention (which I'm not), so this could be wrong.

-To get the most out of her you want to be using her skill on someone with high single-target dps, but she's also only putting out single-target dps herself, which makes her seem a poor fit for anything outside of "boss fight with exactly 1 enemy and nothing else". She has felt usable in those scenarios but it's a bit niche and has seemed at best marginally better than just adding another dps.

-She is utterly abysmal if you ever accidentally get into a situation where you can't use her skill to buff someone. This might be a more of a problem for me because my best DPS is far and away Dan Heng who wants to be hogging skill points every attack, but if there's other DPS options that this isn't the case for then this issue might be mitigated.

From doing a little bit of mirror, frankly this seems like a lot of the fights. Sure bosses start with a few adds but very few spawn more or are double boss encounters. And for SU you just switch your team in between encounters. It's very skewed towards single-target which is why she might be considered "meta". It feels like the best generic setups right now are ST DPS+buffer (Ting/Bronya)+healer/shielder and then an AOE or support (or both like Welt) that can hit weaknesses.

Shouldn't Ting be very good with Dan Heng because she can enable his passive talent? I feel the skill points thing though, so many teams I try are way too skill hungry.

I'm staring at the Starlight Exchange as 600 gets closer and closer, and wondering if a 5* Light Cone is really a better value than 30 Premium Summon pulls.....

Especially if I consider that's 30 Pulls closer to the goal if I lose my 50/50 on Kafka.

I was feeling the same way but my light cones are weak AF so I'm just gonna save up anyway. Though I'm only at 360/600 rn

And I don't really want anyone besides Kafka currently anyway

If you are on guarantee and know you can hit pity with them, sure. But generic 30 pull towards pity in a vacuum is bad value.

30 pulls for a 5* weapon is insane value. You straight up cannot get 5* weapons from character banners and standard banner is notoriously unreliable for giving you what you want, plus you accumulate standard pulls EXTREMELY slowly now that the honeymoon period of launch is over. Trust me

This is why you just save them until you're absolutely sure you want to spend them, anyways

Oh I didn't realize 5* weapons just weren't on character banners at all. Forgot that the Bailu Cone I pulled was on the normal banner.

Hmmmm that does change things a bit. Guess I gotta star thinking about which of these is best.

I wonder if the 5* cones are even needed. In Genshin I never pulled on the weapon banner and never felt like I missed out even after 2 years of playing

I do agree, but the neat thing about SU is that you can build a Path to be a major source of AOE damage (or whatever else your team lacks) so it wouldn't surprise me if people still use her in there

You really shouldn't be having skill point issues with Tingyun, you only need to use her skill once every three turns before reapplying it (which, incidentally, is why she's so frustrating on auto-battle because she uses it far more often than she needs to).

Auto-battle Tingyun and Auto-battle Bronya fucking things up for everyone.
